@Totalanimefan: I'll have to try and get some decent pictures of them later. The African violet is super tiny. I ordered it online, I knew it was supposed to be a smaller one but I wasn't expecting it to be so tiny. Just leaves, I suppose it won't get flowers until it grows some more.

So, I got my self a few new house plants today, I got an African Violet, a calathea vittata plant, and some random little tiny succulent I found at the store when I got some potting soil for my plants earlier.

Anyone else have house plants? Any recommendations for some cat safe house plants?

Sunflowers or marigolds are a few easy to grow flowers, as for vegetables green beans are pretty easy to grow.

Got some cabbage and tomatoes planted today. Still got plenty of room left for more things yet. Need to get some peppers planted yet.

I'm happy I can have a garden now that I have a house. Lived in apartments for several years, so it's nice to be able to plant flowers and things. Made the garden bigger this year than it was last year. I'm hoping I can get more from it than last year, got such a late start last year that I didn't get much.
