@Totalanimefan: Thank you!! For the mermay ones, they took me around a day and a half to finish per piece
The others took me much longer, a few weeks

I find it hard to work fast, I learned that especially when I attempted to do one art per day for the mermay challenge, aaaahh
That's freakin' gorgeoussssss. The art goes so well with the bag's colour and material type!!!

I've been wanting to improve more on the way I render my art lately, so uh... here's some recent stuff I've finished over the past few months.

I'll post more of my stuff (mainly unfinished sketches) in the future!

Man I hate the fact that lately I've been feeling so exhausted/ getting tired so easily in the day. Maybe I should start exercising regularly again.

I keep thinking I'm overpricing myself this time akdhald. Is this guilt talking to me?
Posted in The Venting Machine Posted 3 years ago
This seems silly but lmao I feel proud over this page I added in my quotations/samplesheet
@Araikou: Thank you! Fingers crossed for this :D

Holy mother of God I am stoked AND scared. The same company just emailed me (through a representative of course) asking me for a quotation for my work. I'm scrambling right now gauging a proper price for a cartoonish style, I think I might take like 6 hours to complete one piece since they want a full coloured one with more than one character involved in the picture. aAAaAAAA

I'm hesitant to take this since I had a pretty bad experience with them last year, but I see some improvement in the way they asked me in the email. They included an estimated time for the project so that's a good sign. Hopefully they don't run away when I tell them my new price l o l
@Araikou: Me too! And guess what, the same company contacted me quite recently asking for a quotation of my work and I'm having super mixed feelings about this...I do see some improvement in the way they asked this time though, like..this time they actually put in an estimated time for how long this project will take, so I think they've taken my feedback from last year into consideration! I'm definitely gonna use the pay-by-the-hour format, still calculating as I'm typing this hahaha. Thank you for your input!

@Count trashula: I actually started doing what you mentioned in your post, about looking at other people's commissions and gauging where my work can be priced at. Thank you for your words, you and the others helped steel my resolve to stop underpricing myself to death!

@Totalanimefan: Yeah you're right. I could probably also use what you said as a response to those types of people,! (if that's okay with you and all)

Totalanimefan:

Thanks guys. Holy hell I wasn't aware of the existence of that website, where have you been all my life??

I thought it'd be a good idea to ask them right on twitter, guess I messed up there...yikes....
