@Totalanimefan: Now that you mention it, it really does feel like an in-between moment. It'd be nice to get to the next stage already, sometimes it just feels like a neverending existential hell

Please stop me if I start getting way to negative, I seem to do that way too much way too fucking easily, i apologize in advance

And yeah, I'm glad you mentioned those at the end of your reply. Helps put things into perspective

@Totalanimefan: Woooow. They're kinda picky or specific on who they want, I guess. At least the interview went well for you, which is great :D

Congratulations on finishing school btw!! That post-school part can be super daunting, I myself haven't had much luck in freelancing nor landing a job yet. But at least the school fees part has been finished, so there's that.

Other than work struggles, just the usual existential crap thinking about the future with random healthy doses of self doubt

@Totalanimefan: I think it had to do with your interview from a few months ago? I'm not sure either lmao

Not gonna lie it's been a struggle the past few months, mentally and emotionally mainly
@Justice: It's okay, I myself wish I knew wtf I was doing

Thanks for your kind comment

@Totalanimefan: I guess it's a lack of understanding on the process?

That honestly is so damn flattering, so thank you for that! Monster design can be such a joy to do
Hope things have been well for you so far. Really sorry for the late reply
I've been thinking of lowering my art prices lately, but not sure by how much. Here's my current pricing:

Didn't have much luck in it, so far only managed to these. I suck, maybe that's why? Especially with the girl portrait? I feel like I really fucked that one up :l

Full render bust: $28 USD

Full render fullbody: $70 USD

FUll render waist up: $35 USD

I'm not even sure if my pricing is justified at this point. Do you think these count as a full render like the ones above?
Here's a few more samples of what I've done this year:

@Totalanimefan: No problem! My hearttt Wish more people were like you. Some seem to look at art as if it's nothing, but oh well.

@Totalanimefan: Haha but still, what you do and what you say is still very meaningful for any artist honestly! The art world is a pretty competitive place to be in so you can imagine how hard it can be to get your work noticed by others. Every little thing counts, be it encouraging compliments or constructive feedback (maybe insulting ones too to a certain extent, which could serve as fuel for our rage or just plain pettiness LOL)

I love your straightforwardness here. Kudos to you!

It's been a while. Been having some freelance work lately since Nov/Dec 2021 and I think it's been taking a toll on my physical health. I keep on overestimating my abilities and end up not being able to always meet the deadline, which is immensely frustrating. But at the same time I feel like my client gave me a little more than I can chew, estimating around 7-10 drawings to do within intervals of 4 days before moving on to the next sub-batch. And this is only the first half of the overall stuff that's required me to do (aka Batch 1).

I didn't think I'd start feeling my body kind of break down slowly. starting with experiencing carpal tunnel in both hands and wrists. It flares up every now and then and now I'm sick, experiencing vertigo even while lying down, headache that stems from the same area (bottom right of the back of my skull), sore neck.

This week the client asked if I could finish the rest of Batch 1 by THIS week and I'm still not completely well. I don't think I'm truly confident in meeting that deadline but I guess I'm gonna still try.
