"We've been good." Sammy answered with a chuckle.
"He's a cat now." She added. "Takes after mom in that sense."
"I still got neither, but holy crap I'm hoping I don't end up a cat. The last thing I need is to become lazy like that." She paused for a moment, acquiring a bit of a concerned look.
"Hectic? Nothing serious I hope."

Sammy just laughed as she tied her firey hair back.
"Yep." She said with a nod.
"And running tends to do that." She added.
"A lot." She then added before shrugging.
"Hi. We've been in the same school for y ears... yet haven't seen each other. How the hell have we avoided people that well?" she then asked with a laugh.

She just laughed.
"I don't get how we haven't seen each other for so long." She then said.

The short story in the first post of that thread, actually... is a trilogy.
The last one is a hort 4 chapter novella.
But I'm trying to work on rewriting them into one novel.

@RainbowPanda: Everyone does. It's just what they roll is completely up to their lives. I guess.
I mean, I had to deal with a drunk mother, and an abusive fiancee at one point. There's the shit from my life.
But it's not hard to move past if you just let yourself grow past it.
. . . or learn to ignore it, as woiuld be more your case, I think.
