Yeah, when she wants to get a better vantage point and he is insistent on her singing, she sings, "I have an idea, can you fly me up there?" and then he coerces her into singing and dancing at the Beetle Ball.
The second one is from the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer when they are trying to figure out why everyone is singing and dancing.

I support the Vivienne Flower Garden Hostess theory and posit Velvet as the Duchess! Unless they are one in the same. In which case, I still posit Velvet as the Duchess.

Literally whenever anyone in my friend group says "I have an idea" my friend and I sing "Can you fly me up theeeeere?"
Alternately, if anyone says "I have a theory" we sing "That it's a demon! A dancing demon, no, something isn't right there...." and then launch into the entire song.

Duchess is gonna end up being Velvet. #callingitnow

@Angelus: Number #2 for you is spelled ua, not au. And #9 has 1 z and 2 r's. That should help.

@littlewhitedragonlet: I think it would have made more sense if they had said for the clue "What some hair does in the rain".

@vengeance: But his hint indicates it's something familiar to Static in particular. I think what the others were saying is right. would fit.
