@sunny: Yeh eww 6AM XD
Forums Vibrance Day Event 2020 From me with love
@vengeance: in some parts of the us it’s not that bad either. But my area just keeps getting wrecked T-T what I wouldn’t give to have some flour lol. Luckily we had some before because my husband makes scones but we are out not so no cookies, scones, cakes, bead etc. I can’t even find gluten free flour. Lol
@sunny: yes I’m very happy that I don’t live in New York City right now. I do love that city though (for visiting)
Congrats on page 50
@vengeance: good night sleep well.
@Totalanimefan: Have you visited it a lot? I feel like I would suffocate there, there are so many buildings.
@sunny: yeah I feel the same if I lived there.
I’ve visited maybe 6-ish times in different seasons. My moms family isn’t from NYC they are from a different state but it’s only an hour and a half on a bus to there. So most of the time if I go to see them I spend one day in NYC. I get an early bus and take an evening bus back. Sometimes I went with family, one time I went their for a choir competition in high school. From Florida it’s a 2 and a half hour flight but it’s very common for Boomer NYers to come and stay in Florida during the winter so the flights aren’t that expensive.
@Totalanimefan: oh cool. I am so nervous around big cities, I've never even been to London.
@sunny: what about it makes you nervous? New place? Not knowing where you are going? No friends? Lots of people? Crime?
Cities are great and if you plan ahead and go with a friend or family there is lots to see it’s normally easy to get around cities with good public transportation. London I have a love hate with. I hate when Americans see going to London as this posh I’m better than you experience but also London is a cool city with lots of history and it’s easy to get around but also expensive and way to big to know all of it and see it all even after many trips.
But sometimes the people in London are very rude but the weather is better than like 90% of the Uk ...so like yeah love hate kind of thing
@Totalanimefan: a combination of all those things tbh. I live in the countryside and being around so many buildings, so many people, it makes me quite anxious. I get nervous even when I go into Nottingham, which is like nothing compared to London. I don't feel that I am missing out tbh, there is lots to see and do here in the countryside. I do want to travel more, but obviously that's off the table for now.
@sunny: I would say it’s hard to beat the history of London. So many museums and cool stuff like that. One good thing about cities that you can’t get in the countryside is a museum. Plus they are normally quiet and not super full at any given time. It’s relaxing but also interesting. I also good to at least one museum when I’m in DC.
@vengeance: doing OK. It's a bit of a slow day today. I just cleaned my rats's cage.
@Totalanimefan: oh that's cool. I don't know if I will ever visit the US tbh but if I did I'd definitely check out the museums.
