Yeah, it makes a difference for sure. It started to heat up again here, not looking forward to the heat.

It was only in the mid-80's today and yesterday. This weekend is going to be hot again with a high of 91.

I'm not on Voltra everyday so it's ok. And once I start school back up again I think I'll have less time for Voltra.

@Totalanimefan: Lol Very true! I know, I had really missed it when we got it. It's been 80 to 90 here too. I'm looking forward to it cooling down some this fall.
Lol And I'll have more time since my kiddo will be in class. We've had a lot going on...
Our grandma came down for the week. She and my sister dragged us around for shopping.
(They wouldn't let me pay for most of what I was getting. #frustrating)
But kiddos school stuff is covered. And at least I got to buy kiddo a few things he wanted because of it.
And I got to get my birthday gift! (Skyward sword <3) So I have something new to play finally. *^*

@khadijacandy: Hello! Sorry for the late reply. It's been a bit of a mess here.
Have you gotten to try the cafe there yet? (If you have, is it good?)

@khadijacandy: Hey welcome back :) If you went to the cafe, how was it?

@PoeticTorment: I would like it to be a little colder, but fall is nice but also kind of sad sometimes for me. It's the time of year my grandma passed (although that was years ago) and I'm not the biggest fan of winter. And not a fan of the shorter days in fall. It is nice for biking, or being outdoors before winter comes. It's not nice for the kids when they have to go back, but I'm sure it's nice for you lol
It's nice that you got to see family and had fun. I saw some family and friends this weekend and it was wonderful to be able to see them again. I hadn't seen anyone since 2019.
Happy birthday! When was it? Mine was July 17th.

Lol He's looking forward to school! We had sign up today and he didn't want to leave. XD
But there's not much to do here since it's a smaller town so he's been stuck home most all summer.
Yeah. Grandma lives in the city so we only tend to see her once a year for either Thanksgiving or Christmas.
But we were lucky cause she was gonna go to the concert with mom and dad so she took off work for a few days so we'd get time with her.

@PoeticTorment: Thanks for understanding. I think a lot of people don't understand and they just think of apple picking and pumpkin spice lattes lolol (which are good, I'm not hating on them)
I'm glad that he likes it. Actually most young kids like school because they are at an age where they like learning and hanging out with friends. :)
My sister's flight got delayed so maybe she will be staying the night here? She is getting her flight changed right now but we don't know what she is going to be given.

I feel like I only get to see my family during Christmas and Thanksgiving. I wish that we all still lived closer. (Like not every day kind of close, but more than once a year would be nice). It's always nice to be able to see the people that you care about.

Oh today! Happy Birthday then!! Oh it's ok, I don't need to give you more work lol

I've personally lost a lot of family during fall/winter so it's hard not to feel down.
Lol Right? He was so disappointed that he couldn't play with his friends. XD

Yeah, it seems like that's a common thing. Life just gets too busy...
Even my mom, dad, and sister that live here in town are so busy I don't see them very often at all.
(Like my mom and stepdad I see maybe once a month?)
My sister only stops by every so often since she helps me out. *^*;

@PoeticTorment: Yeah we are on the same page there. It's weird how the same season coming back brings up the same memories. Good or bad.
Your son is cute. ^^ I'm sure the pandemic was hard for him. Does he remember before the pandemic a lot?

I hope that it will work out. I'm just glad that she didn't get stuck in the middle airport. That's worse then being here still or being home.

Autumn/Winter have become favorite seasons for me. I love all the seasons, but I find a comfort in Fall and Winter. My grandmother and aunt both passed in the summer, and now my cat has also passed in the summer..... :(

(My dad passed in February last year but I had a complicated relationship with him so if I'm gonna be honest I don't miss him much.... >_> )

Lol A bit. We were a bit luckier since our town is so small.
It didn't seem to affect him that much since we really didn't change our routine much.
The biggest issue was when we were forced to leave our house for a bit... And he had nightmares about that. *^*;
Yeah, it would have been way worse if she was stuck somewhere uncomfortable.
Lol Alright. But if you change your mind, let me know! I enjoy scribbling. XD

@KittyBeary: Aw. I'm sorry! Summer can be the pits too so I really don't blame you.
I enjoy the fall the most weather-wise. Plus it brings back memories of my folks that I miss.
I think I just enjoy feeling melancholy, honestly. *^*;

And yeah, I enjoy that too. :3 And the holidays are a nice distraction as well.

@PoeticTorment: I don't blame him for feeling that way about leaving the house. To him this pandemic is probably like his whole life that he can remember. And the house is considered safe, so to leave it would be to go somewhere 'unsafe'. I know that I have felt uneasy about going back out into the real world too at times. I think if you guys just take it slow and adjust over a long period of time he will be ok. And you can always go and see a child care Dr or therapist. Childhood developing brains are different than our own.

@Totalanimefan: Oh no, fully different issue! We were forced to move back in September of last year for safety reasons.

SO's sister forcibly moved into our home because she had owned a small amount of the property so couldn't have her removed. It was a really really bad deal... Like she'd call kiddo names and we noticed bruises on him that looked like handprints. I didn't have enough proof and wasn't about to stay in the same house as her and let her abuse my kid just for proof. So my little sis moved into the same house together with mom and dad in less than three days so we could stay in her smaller house. We only got home in late March after we evicted SO's sister. (And had to buy out that part of the property) So that's what the nightmare's about that.

I don't think he fully understands the pandemic, he only knows sometimes he needs to wear a mask because people are getting really sick. (And that the fun places are closed because of it)

@PoeticTorment: Oh yes that. I remember you saying about that in the past but I didn't know that she wasn't good to your kid. I'm so sorry that happened to him and your guys. Maybe a therapist would be good for him since he went through abuse. It's really, really hard on children.
Well probably good that he doesn't understand the pandemic to the full degree. It's pretty depressing lol

@Totalanimefan: Yeah... Unfortunately, since I didn't have proof there wasn't much I could do at the time other than moving out as we did so I'm thankful we realized as quickly as we did. After the first day and a half, he wasn't left alone with her. With kiddo being mostly nonverbal, he isn't really able to explain what happened so I'm not sure what kind of therapy there is here for autistic children that could help with that? And since the nightmares have pretty much stopped and he's feeling safer, I'm starting to think his main issue was being afraid she'd come back and force us out of our home again so he likes locking the doors so "evil lady stay gone".
Yeah, I'm glad it's not so hard on him. He's just been bored so video games have been a huge help in his mood. XD

@PoeticTorment: There are therpists that work with autistic children. I don't know who is good in your area. Maybe ask your school or child dr.
I think it's ok that he says that. It makes him feel safe. Video games helped everyone during the pandemic. I don't know what I would have done without them (Or Voltra)

Our school does bring in specialists he needs so they'll probably work with his care when school starts back up too.
So do I. I let him check the doors before bed and I explained we can call the police if she shows up so he's been happy.
Lol That's true. I know it helped me. He's been enjoying it a lot instead of trashing the house out by bouncing off the walls.
