They are pretty good. Playing video games, watching tv, etc. They like that school is out.
My husband and I are making them read for at least an hour a day. One kid started The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. The other started Homeland by R. A. Salvatore (it's one of the Legend of Drizzt books of the Forgotten Realms).

No. The school sent a few helpful links to things, but nothing is enforced or required to be turned in. Small town.
Yeah heard it's like that for a lot of places. Even bugger towns/cities.
It's a train wreck and I hope that it doesn't force a whole generation of kids to be behind for the rest of their lives. What kids learn daily in Elementary school is so important.
