"I wasn't sure if you would know, anyway." She admitted. "I was asking merely on the offchance."

"Regardless, how long am I stuck here with you babysitting me?" She asked with a chuckle.

"Since we both know you probably have more stuff you should probably be doing."

"Time is irrelevant here." he responded.

"You know as well as I do that the best I can do is give you some vague approximation that can only relate to your own unique perception of time in this realm." he told her.

"....ok, done." he said.

"Bye!" he exclaimed.

With that, she was shoved by him... hard... and she felt herself fall into a pit of blackness.

"Have a nice triiiiiiiiip!" she heard him call after her... mere moments before she felt herself hit the ground, and opened her eyes.

"Kiah! She's awake!" she heard someone say, after she'd opened her eyes.

"Cain, kid, shut up." Aedan ahlf growled as she carefully sat up.

"Check her pulse." Kiah said as she was making her way over.

"Don't worry, I'm undead again." Aedan said simply as Cain did just as Kiah suggested.

"I also have a blossoming headache, but... I'm not surprised." She added.

"Yeah, you're probably going to --" Kiah started

"have one for about a week." Aedan finished. "I know. I've been through this before. remember?"

Cain looked at his mother, and smiled.

"...Mom..." he said.

"You're back." he commented.

He then fell back in his chair, a relieved expression on his face.

"Good. Good..." he said.

"I'm glad it worked. I... I have my Mom back." he went on.

"...though, odds are you'll want to be left alone for a while."

Aedan just sighed.

"Haven't regained everything." She told him.

"About the same as before, actually. As in, before I was rezzed in that blasted pit."

"What do you mean?" Kiah asked, her voice curious.

"I mean that I have all the memories tied to my soul, but not necessarily more than that." Aedan explained after a moment or two.

"That... makes sense." Kiah commented.

"And yes, being left alone would be lovely. I'm going to have a mother of all headaches real soon." The zombie said as she climbed off of the bed she'd been on.

"So I'm heading home to die for a bit." She added. "Before I actually do die, again."

She sighed as she sat in her room, just staring at the coding she had up on her tablet in front of her. She couldn't properly make sense of it right now, as it was a bit hard to focus on it.

She was seriously distracted, had been for awhile now, ever since she fell off that cliff and survived. She didn't know what it was that she was to make of what was goin gon, how she wasn't easy to kill now, but...

She had to ifgure out it, most definitely. Could she honestly deal with this?

Cain watched her go, and sighed.

"Well... at least she's back." he said.

"At least there's that..." he mumbled.

"It worked. This is... probably the best outcome." he said to Kiah.

"I'll tell the right people so you can just go home." he told his mother.

At some point, there was a knock on her door.

"Lunet, honey, you have a visitor." her father said through the closed door.

"It's Cain." he said further.

"Shall I tell him to just scram?" he asked her.

Lunet was silent for a moment before shaking her head.

"Nono." She said.

"Let him in." She added after a moment or two.

"... company might be nice."

About a minute later, the door slowly opened.

"...Lunet?" Cain asked, poking his head in.

"Hey." he greeted her, stepping inside and looking back at the door.

"Uh... want me to shut it or leave it open?" he asked.

"Just.., which would be more comfortable for you?"

"hey." She, a soft smile on her face.

"Sorry I've been so ... absent, I suppose."

"It's... okay." he said.

"After what happened, I understand." he told her.

"I tried to catch you." he said further.

"It... actually, I don't hold that against you. I remember what happened, I remember how you tried, how you caught my foot, but my foot slipped out of my shoe." She commented. "Don't worry... I don't blame you or anything of the sort." She then said.

"I've... just been distracted." She then said.

"And it's because I fell, I suppose..." She told him.

"... The fact that I survived... technically I didn't, but you get my point."

"Doesn't your Dad have a regenerator working for him?" he asked.

"Maybe you can talk with THEM."

It did his heart good to see her laugh like that, and legitimately smile.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"Well... glad I could help SOME." he told her.

"Even if it was just making a suggestion." he went on.

"Want me to step out to give you some privacy for the call?" he asked.

Lunet paused a moment before nodding.

"Yeah... please?" She asked.

"And if you want to be useful at the same time... I could really use a cup of coffee." She added a couple seconds later.

"As I haven't really been sleeping, either." She admitted. After he'd nodded and headed off, leaving her alone, she grabbed her phone with a sigh.

".. .. all right..." She said quietly before dialing a number and waiting for them to answer.

"Hey, Ty? It's Lunet.... can we talk?"
