Fried plantains with meat. 
[ Is it true raw plantains will give you the poops? ][ My ex is from the Virgin islands, specifically St. Thomas, and he once told me a story from when he was in elementary school. Where his teacher was going to have everyone eat raw plantains. He told her that would be bad and would make everyone sick. She didn't believe him, and he was the only person not sick the next day. ]I had a teacher from Suriname and he always told us, eat these raw and you will not poop for days! Your belly will feel like it’s gonna explode!
[ So very conflicting, but I'm willing to believe my ex as a filthy liar. ]That teacher was awesome, but I can’t ask him about it. He got a huge accident that year and damaged his brain.
