Just had the fun of updating my dnd character. :3
@Another Movie Addict: I'm not sure why, but that sounds sarcastic to me. Doing that kind of thing can either be fun or tedious, depending on the DM
@Wildfire: I'm being genuine. Building my bard to be an unholy terror for everyone to deal with. Mwuahahahaha
@Wildfire: I was having fun trying to balance my character with her new spells and skills. Things it would make sense for her to know and have. While also being able to help my fellow party members.
@Another Movie Addict: I understand. Getting it all just right -and still being within the rulebook- can be tricky!
@Wildfire: It doesn't help that I built her to be pretty damn stupid.
@vengeance: that's good.
@Another Movie Addict: lol - intelligence score is not the strongest, huh?
@Another Movie Addict: lol - intelligence score is not the strongest, huh?
@Wildfire: Actually I have the highest intelligence score out of everyone. I just chose to make her dumb as shit.
@Another Movie Addict: Really? So it was an intentional, conscious decision? Why did you do that?
@vengeance: I didn't say they had to be - just curious why AMA chose that route for her character if the score was naturally high
@Wildfire: No real reason honestly, I just thought about playing her like that. Like she's an easily distracted, easily lost, idiot. In her backstory she was washed up on shore from having been in a shipwreck. And that she was adopted by a couple who didn't have any children. But she's a Tabaxi, a cat person. They chose to keep what she was from her, and did a lot of smothering I guess. So she's just kinda stupid as a result.
@Another Movie Addict: Aaaah... I see! I like it when characters have (& the game-play allows for) interesting backstories!
@Wildfire: A lot of the time bards are played to be kind of perverted, and heavily into sex. And I wanted to play her a little different from what you normally see. She's pretty wholesome, and has no idea what sex is. Recently we had a session where there were other Tabaxi, and she was absolutely confused from seeing them. Never having known about her own race at all. I've been pulling inspiration from some of my favorite characters in media. Po from Kung Fu Panda, Michael J. Caboose from Red vs Blue, and Trisha from Most Popular Girls in School.
@Another Movie Addict: It sounds like you're having fun with the take on the character and class!!
