I'm not the one that needs a doctor. It's only happening because of my mom's illness.
I don't have health insurance anyway, haven't had it in years.
For her, we've been to a doctor many times by now, including the ER. She keeps insisting she needs one particular type of cough medicine (Cheritussin), and because it has codeine in it, the doctor won't prescribe it. (Because all narcotics have become scrutinized because of the ongoing opioid crisis.)
I just learned last night that you still can get it without a prescription, but you have to sign papers and what-have-you, which mom and I SEEMED TO both agree on.
However today, she's still going on about how stupid the doctors are and still getting sicker. And no, we never went to Walgreens to ask.

@Zyqi: oh I see. That’s really tough. I would post a thread about it in the serious talk forum.

Physically better at least, but the situation hasn't changed. She basically still said no to everything, since it turns out the article I showed was over 8 years old.

I've wished for help that for a long time actually. It actually hasn't been too bad until this year.
I may have no choice but to finally speak up to Facebook family members and friends if our situation gets too ugly.
I dunno how everyone is going to react though, especially mom. She's getting so sick so quickly though, she might let down her walls a little bit. I won't know until the moment actually comes. *shrugs* } ►

@Zyqi: when my mother got sick, it came to the point she couldn't breath at several points and, even then, she was like "I'll be okay". I called a doctor, they came to our house and she got send to the hospital.
So believe me when I say I know how stubborn mothers can be.
Some times it makes you do something you'd never do, just to make it all better.
@Zyqi: That's awful. I wish that there was more that the American Healthcare System could do for your family.

I know it sucks that stuff in your house but it's really good that it got fixed. It's a pretty serious issue ^^;

But yeah I can understand when a person is depressed they lose all interest in things they liked and even loved. I’ve been there. I hope that you are able to recover from this. Remember that it’s not forever.
