Planning my summer trip to Otakon!

Otakon is a convention in DC that I’ve been going to since 2010! I wouldn’t miss it for the world. 2 years ago it moved to Baltimore to DC and at first I was said, but then I fell in love with the city of DC!
Now I’m not sure which I’m more excited for, to be able to go to Otakon or to be able to see the city lol.

This week I booked my hotels and flights to Otakon! I’m so excited. I can’t wait to have the wonderful food that I have missed, my friends that I miss and I’ll probably get to see some awesome guests (not much has been announced yet since the con is in late July).
I might go to a new cat cafe that just opened as well. I loved the cat cafe I went to in Japan.

I’m just so excited I can’t contain myself!

@mookpooks: I was at the Otakon too. The new convention center in DC is way bigger and it’s nice not to feel crammed.

is it the same place they use for Katsucon or is it different? i can't afford to go to East coast cons anymore sadly. ill stick to overpriced overcrowded AX

@mookpooks: I’m not totally sure where that con is, but I would have to say that it’s not at the con center in DC because Otakon is the biggest east coast con and other cons wouldn’t be big enough to use the convention space well. It would seem too empty.
@vengeance: What about your nearest big town?

Katsucon is pretty big actually! It's on the border of DC and Maryland at the Gaylord. Really fun u should check it out if u ever have the chance
