With that, he left with the person that had arrived, and Peyton was left alone in her apartment.
Her own apartment.
Sure, it was technically part of the place she worked at, but she had the key to the place. This was her own place. Free to do whatever she wanted inside it.
And she knew that wasn't an exaggeration, as she noticed a wall panel with a display on it, showing the level of sound dampening, and it specifically mentioned it was for incoming sound.
Which meant that if one of her neighbours was being too loud, whether via music or something else, she could turn it up and essentially mute them... and others could do the same if SHE ever got too rowdy.

Peyton was silent as she looked around, taking in the fact that she had somewhere to call home now. She wasn't sure how long it would take for her to properly get used to this, but she did know that it was something that she did appreciate for the moment.
So she took the time to explore the place, find out all that was in there, and all that she may need to get in there herself.
A few hours later, she made her way to where the cafeteria was, hoping to get herself a bite to eat. After getting some food, she sat down at one of the tables (which was a bit of a task with how short she was) and started to devour what she'd grabbed, thoroguhly enjoying it.

She'd just started eating when ad adult male, looking to be in his early 30's, stepped into the cafeteria.
He looked around at the mostly empty space, but his eyes locked on Peyton's back.
"......." he was silent, before making his way to the food bar at the head of the room.
"Whose kid is that?" he asked the one behind it.
"Kid?" they responded. "She's the newest employee." he told him.
"....seriously?" the man asked.
"....hm." he mumbled.
He then got a few things for himself, before turning towards Peyton, and starting to make his way over towards her.

"Please don't sneak up on me." She said, which was a bit surprising considering the fact that his steps had been rather quiet - even if not intentionally.
"Otherwise I'm going to run and hide." She added with a light sigh, still not turning to face him.

"I found him." She told him honestly before taking another bite of what she had. She looked him head to toe before shrugging.
"Name's Peyton." She then said, figuring she might as well introduce herself.

Peyton was silent for a moment before acquiring a bit of a confused expression. It didn't take long though, about thirty seconds before she snapped her fingers and grasped the pendant, allowing Tyson to watch her features shift and change to the fennec fox version of her.

"Oh... how are the people here?" She asked. "I mean... whether I look like a fox or not, I look like a preteen. So..." she trailed off slightly there, figuring nothing more really needed to be said.
