He was surprised as the demon pulls him into a hug.

He returned it with full force.

"I wont tell anyone but...your a good person and a good friend" he said softly.


The next 11 years, he kept his promise.

He lived well, and made many lives better.

He got married, and even had a daughter.

However, by the time he was 20, his health declined drastically.

He had started using the cane more and more often. By the time he was 23, he was wheelchair bound. He often asked for someone to take him outside.

When he turned 25, he really began to lost the battle, being bed bound. He was unable to eat a lot of foods he loved, but he could still have tea, which made him happy.

Around the time he was 28, he was barely a ghost of a person. He had lost a lot of weight. His blue hair kept in a ponytail. He slept most of the time, and ran fevers far more often than ever. He hated to make his loved ones watch him wither.

He looks to Aly one day after a particularly bad flare up. "Aly...i want to see everyone" he said, his voice soft.

Eke just chuckled weakly.

"We've been through a lot brother..." he said coughing a bit.

He winced a bit.

"You've all been...just the best family I could ask for.." he said and takes his daughters hand.

"My sweet little girl...i love you so much..." he said pulling his favorite green coat and handed it to her. "Take care of this. Its lucky" he said holding her cheek.

He turns to the rest. "I...i love you all...i really do.."

He then looked to ryker specifically.

"Im so glad i met you in the woods all those years ago. Im glad i could save you"

"And you've done the same...you helped me accept whats to come. You taught me that i was stronger than i thought" he said taking Ryker's hand.

"I couldnt have asked for a better brother.." he said softly, tears rolling down his gaunt cheeks.

"I...I want this to be remembered.." he told them all.

"I was never the dragon i could have been, but i became more of a man than i could have dreamed" he said wiping his face.

"Aly...you are the most amazing woman to live." he said.

He looks to Savra "You take care of my girls...stay with my daughter." he said smiling.

Eke nodded.

He was surrounded by love.

"Jalreth...you take care of Ryker...and you give them all hell" he said.

He smiles once more a few tears rolling down his face.

He closes his eyes and...lets go. No more fighting, no more holding on. Just...peace.

With a small exhale, Eke was gone.

Eke turned seeing his father and his uncle.

He didnt want to leave his family.

But if he stayed as a spirit theyd never move on.

He touches Aly's shoulder with a warm healthy hand.

And then he turned...and disappeared into the light.
