"Heh." he chuckled.

"I know. It's a silly fear." he said.

"But we still have each other. You know that." he told him.

"...and I know that as well." he went on.

"But it's nice to have it confirmed, isn't it?" he then asked.

Without really thinking about it, he wrapped his tail around rykers waist yawning.

He really wasnt much different after all

Ryker just chuckled silently as he felt the tail around his waist, and returned the hug.

"It's all right, Eke." he said.

"I promise you, I'm not going anywhere soon." he told him.

"No matter what SOME demons have to say, I'm staying here for a while." he assured him further.

"Now, just concentrate on gettin' yourself outta here." he then said.

"...which means recuperate and get discharged, not break out." he added with a laugh.

He laughed.

"Aw cmon the last time was so much fun" he teased with another loud yawn.

And lowly he drifted to sleep holding onto ryker.

He didnt care if he wasnt allowed visitors, it was nice having just ryker there for once

Ryker just smiled as Eke fell asleep there.

"Heh." he chuckled.

'Been a bit since this happened.' he thought.

He then gently laid Eke down, and thought about getting off the bed... but stopped and laid down beside Eke, as best he could.

If I hear someone coming, I'll hide.' he thought.

'Not gonna slip away from Eke. He deserves this, and it's nice and quiet here.'

He slept well for a few hours, but became restless.

He began sweating and making soft noises fromt he nightmare he was having.

He woke suddenly shaking shouting for his dad.

Fighting his own undead dad wasnt sitting well with him

"Ryker its not gonna help...it doesnt change the fact i fought him.." he said hugging his knees.

"I fought to kill...i didnt have a choice but it doesnt make it better" he said crying.

"I have to live with this...my dad...i had to fight my dad...what good would talking to him now would be?" he said through his hands.

"And YOU deserve closure." the demon replied.

"But if you don't want it, then fine." he said.

"One would think that being able to have one last talk with your father would help. Guess I was wrong." he went on.

"So how long are you going to be broken like this?" he asked.

"You did what you had to do, one can argue you gave your father the rest he deserved, you fought to kill because you HAD to." he said to Eke.

"That's life. It's not pretty at times. You know this."

Eke gave a very hard glare to the demon.

"You dont have to be such a jerk about it" he said.

"And technically itd be a first talk...i never met him" he continued looking away still angry.

"Im not broken!" he said slowly getting up.

"Im upset! Im scarred!" he went on now standing.

"But i am not freaking broken! And if your going to act like that then you can get out!" he yelled throwing a pillow at him.

"I wanted ryker. I dont need your god damn attitude!" he finished. Eke had never cursed. Not once. Not even when he was at his maddest.

The demon had Ryker grab the pillow and toss it onto the bed.

"Whatever." he said.

"I tried." he growled.

"And it gets thrown in my face. It's what I get for trying to be decent." he went on.

"But all right. This is it for me. You want Ry-Guy, you'll get him. Hell, know what? You'll never have to speak to ME again for as long as you live." he finished.

Then, before Eke could respond, control shifted back to Ryker, and he almost collapsed... but managed to stay standing.

"Great." he mumbled.

"THAT went from bad to worse in the span of a few seconds." he said.

"Sorry..." he apologised to Eke, sounding genuinely apologetic and worried.

"Please don't." he said.

"You have people that love you and care about you here." he told him.

"I know you're in pain, and I wish I could help." he continued.

"But you can't run from your problems." he said further.

"...learned that the hard way early in life..." he mumbled.

"The only thing that's broken right now is your heart." he then told him.

"And we can help you with that." he went on.

"We all love you and care about you, Eke. Let us help you bounce back from this, okay?"

"Shhh, shh-shh." Ryker said soothingly, as he rubbed Eke's back.

"Why?" he asked.

"Because he's an ass." he said.

"Plain and simple. He's not really good people. He's grown to like you, and others as well, but he's still a demon, and he says crap that is hurtful." he went on.

"That's all." he continued.

"Eke, you're not broken. I know. We all know. HE knows." he then said.

"He's just got a really short temper, you know that."

He sat there in rykers arms silently.

He suddenly went limp in rykers arms having suddenly passed out.

His breathing was shallow and short.

Should someone try to wake him up, he would be unresponsive.

"Eke?" Ryker asked.

"Eke!?" he exclaimed.

"Oh, crap!" he said, rushing Eke back to the bed, and then bursting out of the room.

"Doctor! Nurse! Someone!" he yelled.

"Eke's gone unconscious and his breathing is shallow!"

Several doctors and nurses ran into eke's room.

He was sent to emergency surgery.

He was in surgery for 12 hours.

He was put into icu after that.

He would live, but he was not in good shape as his body was really weak.

He was on more machines than he had ever been.

Still, the doctors were optimistic about his recovery, sure he'd be as fine as he could get with some recovery time.
