Aly was definitely surprised and shocked by Eke's newfound passion.

But she was NOT complaining.

Instead, she returned the kiss, locking their lips together, and held him close.

"Heh." Ryker chuckled, leaving the room.

"Good." he said to himself as he went to get the medication for Eke's head.

"Seems that really DID help him." he commented.

"...you really meant what you thought back there?" his demonic side asked him.

"Yes." Ryker responded. "If she DARES come back, I intend to hit her with the full force of everything we have." he told the demon further.

"Heh. Good man." was all the demon responded with.

Aly just smiled at him as he said that, looking into her eyes.

She looked right back at him, and rested a hand on his cheek.

"And I love you." she responded.

"With all my heart and soul." she said further.

Aly followed him downstairs, where they saw that Ryker had grabbed the medication and water.

"Eh?" he muttered when he heard that.

"What? Do something?" he asked.

"What do you mean?" he asked him.

"Also, you still got the headache, yeah? Or did it miraculously just dissipate?"

Aly and Ryker looked at each other for a moment.

"I guess we're following." Ryker said.

"It would seem so." Aly agreed.

With that, the two of them left the house, following Eke.

'....hm.' Ryker thought.

'Well, this is better than before, at least.' he reasoned. 'Seems far more like his old self, which is nice.' he added.

"Yo! Where we going!?" he called out to Eke.

Both Aly and Ryker smiled as they heard that.

"Heh. Nice one." Ryker said.

"I'm so happy to hear that, Eke." Aly commented.

"Here, though." Ryker then said, handing Eke the water, and a couple of tablets.

"It's great that you're feeling better and ignoring the headache, but these'll help you blast it to oblivion, so it doesn't try and interfere." he chuckled.

"Ice cream and tiny cakes!" Aly said.

"My favourite!" she declared.

Ryker just smiled.

'Wow.' he thought.

'His vim and vigour have been reignited in a BIG way...'

Ryker followed the couple, trailing behind them, and continuing to smile, though there was an underlying sadness to it.

'...almost makes me jealous that he has Aly.' he thought.

'I wouldn't worry about THAT, kid.' the demon responded. 'I get the feeling you're pretty set for romance.' he added, which caused Ryker to become more confused, than anything else.

"You've never had a latte?" Aly asked Eke.

"They are REALLY tasty." she told him.

Aly just chuckled in response.

"It really is pretty." she said.

She then started to look at the options as well, as Ryker stepped up to them.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"Looootta choices here..." he muttered further.

"If I may make a suggestion?" the barista said, having heard the conversation.

"Our french vanilla latte is very popular." they told them.

"Well, there you go." Ryker said to Eke.

"A fan favourite is generally a good way to go." he reasoned with a shrug.

The barista was silent for a moment... but it was clear that they were charmed.

Merely a few minutes later, the three of them had cakes and lattes.

".....I'm still amazed that works." Ryker admitted.

"Yeah..." Aly agreed.

"It's amazing, really." she said further.

"His success rate is stupidly high, too." Ryker commented. "Don't think I've ever seen it fail."
