How similar is this to other 'hangout' sites, like gaia, recolour.me, etc, etc?

@totalanimefan: Gaia would be the biggest, other than that, recolor.me and a few smaller forums that kind of didn't last long.

New here too, and also came from Gaia. I've quit about 2 years ago and kinda log on on there from time to time.
Had no clue that there's been talk of it closing.

@Val: I think it came around November/December time when the staff removed a number of threads and did a whole 'we need money to keep running thing' personally, I have no idea if it will, I just don't want to turn up one day and find it closed with no idea where the people I chatted with have gone to >.<
Just as a side question for anyone, whats the userbase numbers like, I see about 40-50 on when I pop on, is that normal, or are the figures generally higher?

@ilovespirals: from what I've seen, generally it's like 10-20 people early in the morning, and roughly 30 people is the most I've seen on at a time?
Recently it's been 40-50, but I'm not sure if that's due to the event or the arrival of people from other sites and whatnot, though it's probably both.
