Haha its purely technology's fault. For this to happen in the middle ages someone would have to break into the artist's studio and burn the unfinished painting WHILE its being worked on to achieve the same effect.
YEAH it wasn't the whole thing but it was about hmm.. 30 minutes to an hours worth of work? I really dropped the ball on that one...

@vintage: Ah with traditional its easy to fix. Just wear a mask over your face so it doesn't happen again and paint over the blood. Its not lost forever
