I wish I had tips. I've never been very successful with my sculpting attempts. How big is the figure you're sculpting?
@Priestess of Pie: i have no idea yet----she'll probably be pretty tall----based on her head and the sketches i did

Always ping me please. @GuttedBunny: You may want to consider using a wire armature then to keep limbs in place while sculpting and provide stability after baking.
