Possible dead end or unidentifiable presence?
I must agree with @Godawful I like our odds with a dead end vs. an unidentifiable presence.
Forward.
Your path has been chosen
You go left, into the dark room. It’s so dark you can’t make out your surroundings.
The air seems to go stale, and you hear something drag across the floor. This is followed by a hiss.
Suddenly, you receive a harsh blow, it knocks you back outside the room from which Arika emerges.
Hissing menacingly as she towers above you, she gets ready to strike you once more. You quickly get up and run towards the more illuminated side of the hallway.
From here you can subtly make out very familiar voices talking on the other side of the wall, but you have no time to dwell on this.
Left seems like a dead end, but it appears to be covered in walls, you might be able to hide in here. Of you can run forward, maybe you can escape Arika’s wrath.
Which way would you like to go?

since left might be a dead end, run run run as fast as we can forward.
also side note, i have to wonder if this maze has a ceiling, cause i would cheat and climb to the top. XD

You run forward. What seemed like a dead end might have a path open after all.
To each your side walls though, and looking back you see Arika recover her wits and look around for you.
As you are in the middle of the hallway, she quickly is aware of your position and is lunging towards you.
You have no other choice, you move forward once again, realizing that there is indeed a path to your left.
Once there, you are met by two choices.
You either go left or you go right.
Which way would you like to go?

Your path has been chosen
You see a strange opening ahead as if the path opens up to a new area. Almost like the nightmarish maze is at an end. But in your observations, you spot something else. Two things, actually.
One is Vontell who appears as you cross the threshold of the exit in a frenzy, Arika being right behind you. He offers you a reassuring smile before stepping forward to intercept.
The other sight of interest is a runic symbol drawn on the ground where you passed by. It blends almost perfectly and you wouldn't even know it was there had Von not stood near it.
A cacophony of terrifying sounds reminiscent of the creature you once knew as Arika cuts through the air as she charges forward, snakes of her hair hissing and snapping in hunger. You worry for Von who's standing in her way, but he seems to have a plan.
Arika is bearing down on him in no time with a hand lashing out at his face, but her fingers fall just short. "I apologize for this, but hopefully the pain is minimal," he whispered before snapping the fingers of his tainted hand. The runes burst as bindings of energy spread upwards and tighten around her causing her titanic form to collapse in a heap.
Von's hand is trembling, but he seems to pocket it quickly and glances back at you. "You are safe now. I apologize the spell took so long to prepare! Let us look for the others and have the good doctor treat this poor young woman."
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU'VE MADE IT THROUGH THE MAZE. DARK POSES FOR THE SNAKE CHARMER EI WILL NOW BE UNLOCKED.
