Jaden narrowed his eyes, but didn't say anything.

"Jaden." he replied.

"Jaden Sherwood." he said, giving his full name.

"And what about you?" he asked.

"You got a name?" he asked her.

"Or do I just call you 'draydin'?"

"Got it." Jaden replied.

"Anna." he said.

"Anyone asks, you can claim MY last name if you want to." he told her.

"Right, let's talk food." he then said further.

"You good for the night?" he asked.

"Because I'm going to stock up tomorrow, get stuff for you, specifically." he went on.

"Any requests?"

"Bitter. Got it." Jaden replied.

"I'll go shopping tomorrow morning, as I said." he told her.

"In the meantime, just... I dunno, make yourself at home." he said.

"This IS your place as well, now." he reasoned with a shrug.

"I'll grab clothes for you as well." he then said further. "You really don't seem like a skirt or dress type, so I'll grab jeans and such."

Jaden raised an eyebrow when Anna said what she did, in the way she did.

"....uhhhhhhh... huh." he said.

"That... sounds like a challenge." he told her.

"And I've won about 95% of all the challenges that have come my way." he informed her, before pausing.

"...that being said, that 5% has taught me when I'm in way over my head, and to pick my battles." he continued. "Not... that this is a 'battle', because I don't really care what kinda stuff you wear." he admitted.

"Wear whatever you want to. I'll pick some stuff up tomorrow, as I said." he continued.

"...really hangin' onto that." Jaden mumbled.

"Ritzy, huh?" he then asked.

"Eh. This place is pretty mid-tier." he told her.

"I make a... well, I make a living. It's... decent." he went on, sighing slightly.

"I just lay low and try not to be too public. It works for me." he continued.

"What, is this place being 'ritzy' a problem for you?" he asked.

"I know some people can't handle what they call 'ritzy' or 'high-class' for them."

"....I see." Jaden replied.

"One more question for the night." he told her.

"How old ARE you?" he asked.

"Feel free to not answer, but I'm curious." he reasoned.

"That's all." he finished with a shrug.

"Well, let's go with all three, in that order." Jaden responded.

"Also... uh... you seem to... have a little blood around your mouth." he commented.

"You miss that when you were bathing earlier?" he asked.

"Or... has that developed since?" he asked further.

"And if so, are you all right?"

"Wow." Jaden replied.

"That's... quite the difference in numbers." he commented.

"But... all right, fair enough." he said.

"So you're not really so much a kid, you just look like one." he said further.

"And... something that's healing?" he asked her.

"I do have medical supplies in the bathroom." he said.

"There anything I can help with, in terms of what's healing?" he asked her.

"......." Jaden was silent as he heard that.

"Eventually." he repeated.

"I... see." he said.

"And you sound like you know what you're talking about... quite familiarly." he then commented.

"Is the injury you have a regular thing?"

"....stitches." Jaden said.

"I get the feeling there's a story behind that." he muttered.

"Probably one for another night." he reasoned.

"Well, if you're tired, feel free to hit the sack and get some rest." he told her.

"I have no real schedule here or anything." he shrugged.
