and OH OKAY yeah they do other things let me see if I can help explain this...

so the crates are a monthly donation item, they change on the first of every month. after you buy them you can click on them in your inventory and choose between two different item sets (this month's is Rainbow Mesh and Midsummer Night's King) and there's also the rare chance that you will also receive a third item that's called the 'rare' in addition to whatever you picked. there's a guide on it here if you need more info

the plasma orbs are rigs, or random item generators. this thread tells you what each orb contains. so when you open up the orb, it's totally randomized on what you're going to get
