im stressed 24/7 so i always have stomach issues, anxiety, etc lol.

Aww -hugs-
I try and distract myself from the fact that I am stressed.
Mentally tell myself that I am not stressed, even if I am.

my depression has such a hold on me that no sort of convincing or distracting
helps. which is why i haven't drawn in like 3 weeks.
that and starting to not really see the point of my art.

Ah. Before a couple days ago, I had not drawn in months.
Now is when I wish I could ping @everyone or @friends. Could bring in everyone who loves you and loves to see the art you make. ^_^
Not sure if art itself has a purpose though. It's just meant to be visually appealing.

I meant more so, my art career itself.
Like my goal was to be freelance artist, concept artist and content creator.
but just don't really feel my art actually gets appreciated or anything.
and if i post something, it pretty much gets no feedback. so idk.

I kinda am drifting away from sites because it just doesn't feel like anyone is there for me so to speak.
might just be depression but i get this feeling very often. so i might end up quitting all these sites lol.

Ah. The art industry is a very rough one. Starving artists is a real thing.
Sometimes it is good to take a break from sites.
I know I would be one of the people who miss you if you do leave.
Though it is fully your decision. If you feel that it would be better for you to not be on the sites, that is a choice you have to make for yourself.

Sometimes, you might just need to go on a break, try something new.
Turn your focus onto a different path for a while.
That's what I tend to do when I disappear from sites for a while.
Recently, I have been playing a lot of video games.

Hmm, well I would call even freelance a part of the industry, just a separate branch.
You are welcome.
I feel like a lot of the users who don't post too often around the sites might feel like that.
I try to connect with everyone and make friends and be there for them when I can.
Though if you catch me in a hiatus, then not sure how much I can help then, lol.

Freelance isn't part of the industry though since freelance
means you work for you. and not the industry depending on what you do.
I want no part of industries though since many artists get 0 credit for all their hard work
and sometimes not even paid. so i want to just work for myself. at home. lol.

I never post outside of my threads anymore. so people have to usually find me
in order to contact me. :vanora_xd:

I know it seems like a lot of things depend on who you know and who can discover you and your art.

Yeah. though idk if i'll stick to that goal.
cause i just don't feel my art will ever be good enough so eh.
might just have to only be a hobby since i usually am too ambitious sometimes.

Hmm, what if you declare yourself as freelance, but treat it more of a hobby.
That way, when people are looking, they can see you are available. And with it being just your hobby, you can get to it when you can within your own time frames?

Yeah, a lot of my threads tend to die as well.

Hmm, sounds like a break from it might be a good idea.
Can always come back to it again later down the road.

Yeah, things can fall off easily. Not everyone goes back a couple pages to search for threads.
I like checking in on ones as long as too many months have not passed.
I would post even more in some of my threads to promote them if I could. But that would put me over the double posting rule.
Pretty sure I have posted in here from time to time.
This site does need a larger ping (@everyone or @friends) to summon more people to the threads. Maybe one day.

Yeah. especially in the hangouts. And since I have 2, i try to revive them every 1-2 months.
I'm very bad at like...hosting threads lol.
Probably have. either here or the coffee house. I can't remember.

I probably wouldn't use the friends ping tbh because i am severely antisocial.
and large crowds overwhelm me.
