I always try to base my avi's off an OC of mine. Or, usually. But I get like half way there and then I'm like "now I wanna be this OC!" and then my avi's are forever WIPs...

I'm the same. I get a new item and I'm like I want to use this, then about half way through the process the item ends up being the weakest part of the avatar, so I either start again, or I just don't use the shiny, new item lol

@seo: Actually, my current avi is of one of my OCs. Or rather, a modern version of her, as close as I can get. She's my LotR OC, but I also have a modern version of her, which is usually how I dress her up.
My main account currently yush! I ran out of money so that's on hold and there's also kind of lack of items..
A few times I make an OC out of an avi i make if i really like it or feel attached to it for some reason. :'D
