Yes that is cold. And my windows suck at keeping the heat in. They are really drafty.

@DreamerZ: yeah it’s been a big long battle with the historic district I live in but my house is actually from the 40’s but because of the ‘style’ I can only have wooden windows and it was a whole to do. And the original windows I got aren’t allowed so that was money down the drain. But now the company talked to them directly and we got a different set of windows approved. Idk how long it will take to make them after they have been ordered. With all the supply issues it could be months.

A lot of houses around here are at least 100 years old so my house doesn’t seem that old to me. But it’s certainly not new at the same time ^^

I guess you are right. I guess because the other houses around me are much older I didn't think about it. I think I would like my next place to be a new construction condo. I like how much better they are at keeping warm. (And cool in the summer) and they also tend to have big windows. The place I was renting before I moved was a newly constructed high rise apartment and I just loved it. I loved the view, I love how warm it was in the winter. I barely needed the heating on. The two rooms were big enough for what I need them for. There was lots of closet space.
But this place is nice too. The neighborhood is really walkable and it's easy to get what you need without a car. It's close to the water too. Only about a mile away from the river.
@Totalanimefan: i do pref newer places for your reason. My home is old-ish. But, nice looking. my room window is huge. A tiny sun windows above it...w/e ya call it
