Last night my neighbour was trying to rehome a kitten who her friend had found abandoned in a bin. He'd just been thrown in there. He is barely nine weeks old and luckily unharmed aside from being skinny and having some scratches on his ears.
We took him in because who can resist that? He's quite pitiful but friendly and happy. He's currently sleeping on the edge of the sofa right above my shoulder :3 His name is Pi (like the number) because the kids who found him were calling him Python so it stuck.
Idk how anyone could just throw him away like that. Like, who does that?

We rescued another kitten about ten years ago, she was feral and found under a hedge. My neighbour has her sister still :)

One of my cats was saved from some kids who were tossing him around by one of my coworkers (many years ago now) and I took him in because she couldn't keep him. If I pick him up too quickly, he gets startled, but otherwise, he loves getting hugs and snuggles.
