"....." Nate was silent as he heard that.

He did not know what to make of her wording. Her tone.

He'd seen shy and subdued before, but this was full-blown submission.

"I... uh..." he stammered.

"Just... try and rest and recuperate." he told her.

"And can I get your name?" he asked.

His eyes widened a little when she said that.

"I... uh... right." he muttered.

"Just... just stay there and don't overexert yourself." he told her, before leaving the room.

"Oh man..." he mumbled.

"This... I can't... how...?" he muttered to himself not seeming to care if anyone heard him, if anyone was around.

"What do I do here...."

Nate was silent for a moment as he looked at her, and then sighed.

"It's... it's the new patient." he told her.

"She won't... I mean, she... it's like..." he mumbled, and then shook his head.

"It's like she's waiting for orders." he said.

"And I mean that. Orders." he continued.

"She's not responding to requests for information. She asked me what I wished of her."

When she said that, she saw the sheer sadness and despondence in Nate's eyes.

"...I..." he stammered.

"I... no..." he whispered.

"There has to be SOMETHING..." he mumbled. "We have to be able to do something..." he went on.

"...isn't there...?" he asked quietly.

"Is there ANYONE that can do ANYTHING?"

"...anything will help." Nate told her.

"I can't stand to see her like this." he said.

"She seems... almost... well... hollow." he told her.

"Incomplete. Like... a... puppet." he lamented further.

"...and I can't help her." he said further.

"I want to. So desperately. But I can't."

Nate paused, took a small breath, and sighed.

"You're right." he said.

"And it seems like the only way to get her to cooperate is to order her." he went on.

"..." he was then silent, and looked at Ebony.

"I'm gonna hate doing this." he muttered.

"But for her health... I have to."

One of the things she noticed, was that she wasn't alone in the room.

She looked over and saw the other person in the room, in her own bed, and she was looking MUCH better than she had before.

She also noticed that she wasn't feeling anywhere near as crummy as before, so there was definite improvement.

She also knew she would need to ask about what had happened... and she then got the chance, Nate stepped into the room.

"...oh! Hello, hello." he greeted her with a smile.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

Nate sighed in relief as well.

"Yes." he responded.

"The both of you are going to be all right, and make a full recovery." he told her, approaching her to record what the machines were saying, before he would do the same to Liv.

"And yeah, you can say it's a miracle." he then said.

"It seems that your illnesses were caused by the chaos and corruption that was happening to the planet's core." he explained. "Which is what was causing the violent weather phenomena." he continued. "But because you and Liv are special in that regards, with very close ties to the earth... well... it affected you both as well." he finished.

"However, the chaos has been stopped, and just in time, as we all were on a timer of... until the end of the month, I think I was told." he then said.

Nate smiled softly.

"It's the least I can do." he told her. "And it's also my job." he added.

"But really? You should be thanking Zeke. He's kept you and Liv alive and well." he went on. "Actually, I'll go and get him." he then said.

"He's been anxious and worried for a while." he continued.

"...it's clear he loves you two very much."

Nate finished up checking all he needed, and then nodded.

"Will do." he said.

He then excused himself and left, and... about a minute later, the door was slowly opened, and Zeke popped his head in.

"...Angela?" he mumbled.

"Hey." he said, seeing her awake.

"Feeling better?" he asked, stepping inside.
