@Rebirth: wow that’s pretty cool. I would go to concerts during the summer when I went to anime cons. It was the best part of the con after seeing my friends. I miss traveling and getting to hang out with people. :(

I feel that too. I actually work for a anime con ( San Japan) but we had a vote to cancel this year's con :C
But saved them money than having a con and no one showing up (which would of been bad)
It's crazy how we take things for granted. I def appreciate that stuff more now!

@Rebirth: How many years had you been involved with them? I think about doing that for Otakon, the con I normally go to, but then I feel like that would take away from hanging out with my friends while I'm there. There have already been cons cancelled for 2021 too. The early ones like Magfest. I think it's sad but it's the right call.

It would have been my 3 year in 2020!
For me I ended up working San Japan because I didn't have friends that like anime.
I'd say see what's the Min amount of hours to volunteer. Because at least for SJ I get to skip lines and free food, passes, and I get a hotel room (but note I volunteer FT) I know PT at least get passes and skip line privileges! Or get friendly with a vendor and work for them is pretty cool too!
