Unfortunately no, pings get you less notifications lol. Because the thread subscriptions notify you for every single single new post on the thread vs pings would just be the one post where someone is actually talking to you.

oh haha i guess i was thinking... thread subs could be useful on voltra bc our forums are usually p slow
i guess pings are a thing both here and there ^^
i think here on voltra having pings can sometimes make group convos a little harder :0

but sometimes it's awk in hangout / group threads cuz ppl are two pinging each other and then it sometimes feels like interrupting their convo

Ah I totally understand what you’re saying now, @xvz ! Yea that makes sense I can see that.
I guess I should say the full notifications thing is only really annoying because they don’t let you pick to have threads on your ‘bookmarked’ list that don’t ping you. If I could pick which threads pinged me from the bookmark list that would be way way better.
