Racquel was silent for a moment before sighing and setting the ladle she had in her hands down.

"I'll meet you out there in five, ok?" She asked, her voice more serious.

"Let me make sure nothing is going to be destroyed or whatever."

Sure enough, five minutes later he was joined by the woman he was wishing to speak with. She handed him a mug as she sat down on the couch across from him. She had a mug of tea herself, same as she gave him.

"Something to help stress." She told him simply.

"I get the feeling bith of us are going to need."

Racquel was silent before grabbing the aforementioned device and looking through some news.

As she did, he saw her expression fall, before the mug of tea hit the floor.

"... Oh dear lord...." She barely managed to get out before meeting Vincent's eye.

....... This isn't some sick joke, right?" The disbelief and despondence to her voice was something that he'd never heard before, and was so far removed from her norm that it was almost unbelievable.

Racquel set her phone aside before getting her feet.

"So be it." Was all she said, a definite darkness to her voice, a calm darkness at that.

"Let this world end. It won't be by the hands who whoever is orchestrating this though." She continued.

"It will be caused by so many Fyranes on this planet at one time. Mark my words."

Racquel was silent before sighing. It was a very unsteady breath though.

"I know." She said.

"But if they touch my family, the world will burn." Was the last she said before heading back to where Vincent had found her.

It wasn't even a threat, it was a promise. One that he was sure she'd follow through with.

Rowena paused as she heard what was on the TV before making her way out to where her son was.

". . . did I seriously just hear that right?" She asked him, as the reporter had moved on to another topic.

"Did... did she honestly and seriously just say that they're hunting out 'non-normals'?"

Rowena was silent for a moment, frozen still before shaking her head and just approaching him. She sat down before just wrapping her arms around him in a motherly way.

"It's ok, Lindsay." She said.

". . . I knew this would happen at some point." She then said. "As a result, I have somewhere to hide, and keep about a dozen people safe."

"Sadly... I don't know if I can fit more than that, comfortably."

"I am very protective of my secrets." She commented.

"But we'll be all right. I promise." She added before pausing.

"You can't die, anyway."

Rowena was silent for a moment before sighing, heavily.

"I... I know." She said simply.

"I mean... I just..." She sighed, again.

'..... she's probably going going to take it well, at all." She admitted.

"Perhapos you should tell her, make sure she's ok. Because... just..." another sigh, "Rocky is... well, she bottles a lot up."

"... my sister is most certainly one that I expected to be with me there, unless she goes with Demi to the guild." Rowena answered. How calm she was was showing one thing almost perfectly. She was prepared for this, had honestl ybelieved it owuld happen at some point in time.

"As are you and Ash." She commented.

"Admittedly, my intention was Rocky, Vincent, you, Ash, Alice, Vicki, Casey, Ashleigh, Sammy, Even, and Kelly." She then said before sighing lightly.

"The place is decked out with enough power, food and everything else to last for about fifteen years. I've been preparing for awhile."
