Forums General Chit-Chat Ugh this accounting class

Is going to be the end of me. Financial Accounting is confusing me. I just gotta know enough to pass the exam though, I'm not an accounting major. XD

Anyway, how are you?

Did I mention that the videos for the class have horrible audio quality? Like I can't even listen to the videos with headphones. Makes me ears want to bleed.

@koneko: Yeah I left feedback about it in my last accounting class because there was the same problem. I also told my mentor this week.
I think I have about 60% left. I've been doing this course since Monday. It's really a lot to get through.

There is protection from near everything, from fire and damages from storm and frost

I'm willing to bet the course materials are old as dirt, especially the audio recordings, hence why they're so poor quality.

Brings back memories of high school classes and using textbooks with images from the early 90's. |D

Good times!

oh, add whichever blows may come to mind, but there is no protection from mankind.

I was struggling in my accounting 101 class this semester. To be honest, I stopped trying because I couldn't get it. I was thinking of changing my major to business... ummm definitely not. HAHA.

I have felt that so many times for so many of my classes. Sometimes I felt it was absurd that I had to learn some subjects that I have never, and would likely never use after the exam.

Oops I forgot about this thread. I'ma bad OP lol

@koneko: I'm planning to finish by the 11th. I think that will be enough time. I have just a little bit of reading left, about 10% and then I'll study the parts I'm not good at lol

@Minerva: Haha you got em. I think the videos are really old, since it's not something that really changes and the recording quality is soo bad. Like it shouldn't be allowed to hurt my ears while I'm trying to learn. I'm also trying to use YouTube but even then, not everyone has good recording quality, but at least it's better than this classes lol

@blue: Good to know I'm not alone, sorry that we have both suffered for school. lol

@Totalanimefan: You'd think a company which specialises in producing educational content, and charges exorbitant prices for subsequent "revisions" that literally add things, remove them, and add them again, could afford to hire videographers who record with something better than a potato. c':

Thankfully none of the instructional videos which I can recall were painful to listen to, but I did enjoy chuckling at the way everyone spoke with that 1950's Trans-Atlantic accent.

@Minerva: Oh yes. With my last accounting class I told them when they asked for feedback after I finished my exam and passed. I put that they really need to change the audio quality and that it's unacceptable. The other classes I've taken that are non-accounting related and perfectly fine.
That accent is fun, but after a little while it's tiring to listen to.

@Totalanimefan: There's a big reason I dropped out of college, and that's math lol. It genuinely was too much for my wee little peabrain and I couldn't handle it.

I hope things work out though! Bad audio quality is a big part of why some people just refuse to do some things, I think companies underestimate just... HOW bad it can get.

@vioxeri: I agree with you on the audio quality, and it's amazing how it makes me learn less. And I'm more annoyed too lol

Luckily, the math isn't super hard. It's just adding and subtracting and you have a calculator. It's hard like algebra. But there are a lot of things to remember because you are managing money, payments, revenues, expenses, etc. So knowing how to write those down and how to show how much things cost or where earned in a period is work lol
