@Bonnie: yeah I’ve been following them! At least Marco wasn’t much. Laura I’m kinda worried about though.
Have you been getting extra water, batteries, food etc? I know you know what do to but I would get it now instead of later in the week.
I’m good. Just got off work. It was really busy today.
@Totalanimefan: yeah I think we have enough stuff for the time being. I think we are okay since the house is raised quite a bit.
I’m not sure if our area really will be that affected but we are still located in a flood zone so it really depends.
I am glad Marco weakened. Laura is still really scary. Especially since we were hit with a tropical storm in July and last year we were hit with Barry and a lot of places got upwards of 17 inches of rain.
@Bonnie: yeah Laura is anyone’s guess right now. Good thing is that it doesn’t seem like a storm that’s going to sit around. I think it’s going to be in and out and it’s a wind event that you have to worry about. We will know more as it gets closer to Thursday. Good to know that you guys will probably be safe. It looks like Laura is going to bring a lot of storm surge. :(
I’m in DC now. It will be a rain event for us on probably Sunday but nothing to really worry about.
@Totalanimefan: yeah. I am worried about wind cause it’s going to be crazy. Rain and water is a threat as well. We have bags packed and will leave if necessary but we just gonna have to see what happens.
@Bonnie: well I would say there probably isn’t much time to leave now since it’s Wednesday morning. ^^;
Storm surge could still be a problem in LA but it’s hitting TX more now. -goes to check today’s storm updates-
@Bonnie: hey it’s gotten really strong (as we thought it would) and the last advisory said this is the last chance to leave before it’s too late. (Cause you don’t want to get caught in the storm).
You riding it through at home? The storm surge is going to be bad but idk if you are inland or not.

@Totalanimefan: I am further inland so my area was not made to evacuate, thank goodness. We are going to ride it out. Right now there is just a lot of rain we will see how it turns out tomorrow morning when I wake up.

@Totalanimefan: yes! We are good! Have not any issues here at my house. My family in the south are okay, my family in the north is experiencing the weather now. My house didn’t lose power at all.
