@pachi: I was there in 2016~ I've gone every year since 2010. What if we happened to pass by each other and we didn't even know xD
The subway is dirty, I wish it was cleaner but at least it safely gets you to where you want to go which didn't use to be the case. lol
I actually really like DC. The first time I was ever there was cause of Otakon, they moved there in 2017. I fell in love with the city. The metro is way cleaner, I love the museums and the architecture of the buildings.
Not this year, cause Otakon is cancelled, but maybe you should come to an Otakon in the future and then stay a few days after for the free museums?

I get that. I think that if I didn't have my friends there and I didn't have good Japanese band I wanted to see I would rethink it. They are still a lot of fun for me still luckily.

after experiencing japanese events i'm like. i prefer that a lot more to NA cons
though there isn't that much time to socialize at them
but as an artist i appreciate the 4 hour long event LMFAO

honestly? its diversity
over 50% of the people here are from elsewhere and we have people from all around the world, it's great
coming home from visiting overly homogeneous countries like chn and jp really makes it feel like home hah

That's nice. I've only really heard good things about that city but I haven't heard that much. I think it's also becoming more affordable since they built more housing and more a limit or tax on foreign buyers?

but then again with the pandemic now, who knows?
but it's completely unaffordable to get a place in the city tbh.. if you want to buy a house most people opt for the suburbs ~_~
