It would have to be the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews. The plot and main mc was amazing! Although it's a pretty long series (10 books), time would fly by when I read it. It also got me hooked to one of my favourite genres now, Urban fantasy.

Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain

I hardly read non-fiction books for fun but this book was highly recommended so I decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did, it's changed my thinking for the better.

I'm an introvert who has lived thinking that I won't be able to succeed in my career if I didn't act like an introvert. But this book showed me the good points of just being who I am and listed the achievements of famous introverts in history. They didn't need to be extroverts to accomplish great things, they only needed to stay true to themselves.

My oldest friend would have to be my best friend. We met in elementary but I didn't really become close with her until Senior Highschool. We also worked at the same place for about 4 years. She's the reason I managed to get the job in the first place lol. We had a bit of a falling out before (for a few months) but I think it happens to most friendships anyway. I'm glad that we managed to talk it out and are more understanding towards one another.

We aren't really the typical bff relationship where we would hug one another, take selfies and text each other all the time. But we've always been there for one another and I'm so grateful for having her in my life.

My neighbours are partying again. They're two houses down from mine and I can still hear their screaming. I can stand music but I cannot stand the shouting and screaming they do each time. Although I understand that it's new years day and the occasion calls for a celebration, I wish my neighbours would be more considerate. There are people who have to wake up early to work tomorrow and it's hard to fall asleep when they're constantly screaming like hyenas.

@inatlaka: Oh wow taking a break from avi sites seem to be quite common now. It's good that these types of sites are still around even though they don't seem to be as popular as before :(

The art is what drew me to Voltra too! And it's really good to hear that everyone is friendly here! Coming to a new site/community is always daunting for me at first.
