i have ordered my list with starred items too.... but the list is too long so maybe i should reorganize in a ranked system instead lol

@Wildfire: it ended up being to dark of an avatar and not enough contrast. part of it being i didn't have all the hair bits and i can't afford to buy them right now to try it out xD

i was trying to use the devil food cake legs, since it has tea shoes, but the frosting drip is candy, but the strawberry ears are more blush then candy and then i gave up lol
maybe i'll try another recolor of strawberry delight, but tea and cherry really is the prettiest combination in my eyes

@Totalanimefan: ooh i think i missed out the last year or so of items over there when life got busy. and the site was so quiet as well, that there wasn't really anyone i talked to still around ;u;

i'm glad since i couldn't really commit to doing high detail, time intensive rendering .

yeah with the color combos.... i think 5 colors is generally too many, but because of which items have which specific palettes, i end up including more and more colors just to get a particular color i was intending to use

i'm not against either. volts just means more flexibility, but item means a direct thing i can use immediately.

i do art for free during events (under specific conditions). i did an ask freebie thread last reaping ritual, and then as a prize for avatar contest in vibrant event.

depends on what kind of prize you want to offer?
normally i would say volts or item or something, but depends on how much funds you want to invest in it
i personally do art prizes because.... i have no volts lol

yeah i am concerned about time commitment, so i haven't done it... even though i know i keep talking about it since i joined

@Totalanimefan: ooooh yes to more crystals and sparkly things!! i dunno what i'd use rocks for, but it seems useful.. like maybe a pile around the feet just to give a little more visual weight to balance the top heavy nature of the avatar base

i'm trying another color palette with cherry/tea/bark/beige/blush

@Totalanimefan: yeah maybe some more watery themed items since i think some people brought that up the last time the avatar of the week contest was themed around naturey things

this one is more balanced which i generally will rank higher
but the other one had nicer motion ;u;
