He didn't ask. He'd say what needed fixing and, if it took too long, he'd get angry. When my old neighbours moved out, the house needed some fixing here and there.
My now landlord was 'fixing it', as in 1 hour in the morning, then sit outside in the sun, lunch, work another hour and then sit in the sun again. At some point, my old landlord had enough and went over the grass (something he never did) and shouted at him.
I'm not scared fast, but that impressed me.
As long as it's right by the end, Tea XD

They split the estate over the family
The old landlord was the best. He knew I hated heights, so he made sure the roof got cleaned for me (he did it himself until a year before he passed away)

My landlord's foster faster was my landlord first. He passed away in January, at the age of 88 or so. I even went to church for him.
