@faust sheep: "Hm..." Static hesitates, almost seeming shy despite his stoic expression. After a moment he slowly nods his head, lowering his tall frame slightly, "You may."

"Alright... Let's Go."

"Friends, please..." Static frowned, troubled by the response but even more troubled by the reaction, "She had no obligation to play our game or forgive us... Let's not add insult to the injury we have already inflicted on her..."

He sighed, glancing away, "Come... Let's move to the next..."

CONTINUED...

In the Flower Garden, the Hostess was blissfully unaware of the drama unfolding around her. She could only dance and sing, only care for the flowers. No other options were open to her, bound to the garden as she was. She couldn't leave and thus didn't hear about much news, but she was happy because she knew little else, or had forgotten the possible sadness as her own madness set in.

"That's a pretty melody," said a familiar voice from behind.

Her song stopped immediately and a blush rose from her neck to the top of her head. Turning comically fast, she almost dropped the watering can, and swallowed at the sight of the Card Knight before her. "O-oh, it's you! I mean, I'm so happy to see you but it's - you're busy, aren't you, with the Rose Garden?! You should get back to that, or one of the Queen's tasks as it may be, but OH, it's not like I want you to leave or anything! No, that's not it at all!" The flowers around her sunk into the hedges, embarrassed for the Hostess, but the Knight merely chuckled and took a step forward.

"I missed you, and that cute fumbling of yours," the Knight reached out with a hand and gently caressed her cheek, but said no more for a while.

The Hostess, on the other hand, was dead on her feet at the sudden touch, proximity, and sincerity in her words. She was never good at moments like these because her brain would always stop working. Her heart would rapidly beat, and her legs would feel like mush. It would be hard to stand, and really all she wanted to do was fall into the Knight's waiting arms. She sniffled, then, and she hadn't realized she was crying.

"A-are you sure it's okay? I don't want you in trouble, I-" The knight cut her off with a simple kiss, and her eyes grew wide. As she felt an arm wrap around her and pull her close, she relaxed and her eyes fluttered shut. A flower popped its head out of a nearby hedge and whistled, and simultaneously the hedges around them filled with beautiful flowers. Each of them curious to witness the scene.

As the Knight slowly pulled back, the Hostess wobbled. "W-wow..." She breathed.

"Sorry it took so long," the Knight smiled while wiping her tears with a thumb. Reaching into her pouch, she retrieved what appeared to be a brilliant red gem in the shape of a heart - the top of the Queen's scepter. "It's time to get you out of here."

Static and you - mostly you, as Frizz has the Guardian's eyes covered from atop his head, leaning forward engrossed in the scene - watch from the hedges as the gem flashes brilliant red, and a barrier that was previously invisible around the garden shatters into tiny sparkling particles.

"As touching as this is... We better head out," The White Rabbit patted Static on the shoulder, giving him a smile, "Let's get you home before the Queen catches us, huh?"

Apologies, what I first thought to be a 3 is indeed an 8! Room 28. I should get my bangs trimmed... but I do still wonder what it means.

The thought of feeling less lonely because of a teddy is... weirdly uncomforting. There's another door here, I'd rather find this key and move on, let's carry on.

This is a very sticky room and I would rather not stand here, but it seems we've got another locked door... Shall we?

Hm... It appears the key was found by Dowan. Let's proceed... Quickly, if we can. I feel as if I'm being watched in here...

As Static waits for the key, he jumps slightly, as one of his reflections smiles to him. Stepping out of the mirror, it suddenly collapses, it's body folding to nothing. It leaves behind only two things: his clothes, and a photograph of Static.

How... How strange... What does this mean?

Despite the soft glow in this place I've walked into, I see another door ahead.

I've tried that key but it's not budging. I think we've got the wrong one...

Static peers through the keyhole again. He sees a photo in a frame of a child holding a ball, as if playing a game.

...Is he flying on a broomstick?
