I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I don't have what you have, but I can relate to the horrible pain.
Here in Washington, we have DSHS, which is what you have to go through before SSI. They then refer you to a social worker who has more information on the steps you have to take, and they give you a list of lawyers for SSI if your appeal ends up going to court. I'm not sure where you are, but I assume they have a similar system there.
