@Roseywitch:
I haven't watched one of those in a long time. I think thats a good idea though
Posted in What if you had a card deck of OCs... Posted 6 years ago
I was watching some anime the other day and the characters were holding trading cards that looked super pretty. Whenever I see something pretty art-wise I immediately think, "what if I made a project out of that!?"
Which made me think of an idea to make trading/tarot card designs for every OC I have. Like, literally print them out with their fancy layouts and everything.

If you're like me and have a bajillion OC's, imagine how cool that would be as a super personalized collectible? :vanora_xd: but dont think about the excruciating work behind it

What would you do with your deck of OC's? Whether you're an artist or not, if you have characters you've developed in any manner, what sort of stats or bio would their card/s say? How would you depict your character in the picture?

man thats tough, they both look adorable. I might favor the second out of my bias for short hair. But the first one's flips are fun to look at... XD

I need to do some more art as well. Share the motivation pls <3

@Ghostie: gotta pay the bills :vanora_upsidedown: and yeah, I was only on maybe a week prior to blackout. So it's exciting to see what this site is all about finally. seems the community is pretty great
Posted in It's so good to be home Posted 6 years ago
How exciting. I've been doing a whole lot of working, so feels like this happened really fast for me.

@Cookie:
OH once you make them by scratch, the store bought mixes may never be the same~
the fluffy textures /drool

@Saeyra:
Exactly. Food is happiness <3

*cough* I should add that apartments here moreso average between $1300-$2k. 1k is the price of the more sketchy quality places :vanora_xd:

@Saeyra:
its so fun seeing something you doodled up be turned into an item on a website <3
Back on Ernya I had a couple of items made. A hairstyle and some items that hung from the avi's lips (a cracker, a mini penguin and something else I forget). I wish I had screenshots or something saved of them to look back on XD

@Cookie:
I live in Colorado. it's not quite as expensive as Cali, there are still some apartments floating around for $1k. But they also require you to afford 3 times the amount of rent as a household. My gf and I make about $2500 per month collectively so we keep get turned down. We need another 500 and aint nobody gonna show us mercy here ~__~

@Dowan:
Haha in that case you have me convinced.
Have you ever added peanutbutter chips to a chocolate chip cookie recipe? If not, you haven't even lived life yet
Posted in Hallow Hangout Posted 6 years ago
@Dowan:
Heheh, yeah my old writings were so... vague, about everything. Like how did I even manage to keep people interested? lmao

That's what happened to me when I ate a proper dish of ramen for the first time. 3 years later and I'm finally calming down with it... a bit. Still crave it about once a month.

@Cookie:
Yas, I love baking cookies. But I think my new favorite thing to make are these brownies with a layer of caramel and pecans inside. oohhmygod

@Saeyra:
Of course! What better way to introduce myself to a site than to ramble about food x'D

Ooh that also looks yummy. Ketchup sounds weird, but heck I'm willing to try it XD

Here's a sugar cookie recipe I made:
2 1/4 cup self rising flour
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1tbsp almond extract

beat sugar and butter in a large bowl at medium speed, until fluffy. beat in egg, vanilla, almond extract. gradually add flour. beat at low speed until its all blended.
cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a few hours, or however long it takes until it becomes firm enough to roll out on the counter.
(make sure to cover counter and rolling pin with flour so dough doesn't stick and shred apart)
Of course, stamp with cookie cutters of your choice and bake them at 350 F for 8-10 minutes.

For the icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla (preferably clear so colors come out better, but brown works alright)
add whatever choice food coloring. I usually make about 3-4 bowls of this for different colors
The consistency of the icing is usually a bit runny. You can thicken it with more powdered sugar, or thin it with more milk. But ultimately it's going to act kind of like glaze and get all over the place :vanora_upsidedown:

let the cookies dry for a while after icing them for less mess and better texture :D
