I completely understand that. When you are with them for that long they are family. They are hard to let go as well.

@Nephila: oh! Yea that is a dangerous job to be doing. I understand why your nervous and why you have issues sleeping as well. That would make me nervous and extremely worried as well....but not because my dad was a cop for years and my mom was a security guard at a lrison for years as well....so yes I know how you feel.
