@totalanimefan: Thanks for the welcome! I love how much creativity everyone has in their avatars. There seems to be a lot of variety and I love it. Your use of green is very cool!
Oh, I joined the site at the right time then! Talk about some luck! ^^
@Saeyra: Just the half-orc right now, and in my last campaign I was an Elven ranger, but that was in 3.5. I've also played a rogue. I am jealous of your online groups! I wish I had those, but my only days off are Tuesday and Wednesday, and most people I know are busy working during the week. I'd still be interested in those discords, though. I have always wanted to try Roll20, but never got around to it.

My half-orc's name is Kova. She's got bit of a complex, raised by her orc side and always trying to prove herself. She's trained hard, but she's on the smaller side, so she has to pick a few fights now and again. In fact, she just got into a bar brawl with a male orc who mocked her for being tiny (keep in mind, she's still 6'0"). Now she's doing a small job hunting down some rat folk, while one of the party members is dead set on doing botching the job. It's been silly, but still a lot of fun.

OOC: Looking for a literate partner that wants to jump into a OC fantasy story with me. I'm not requiring a character sheet, I just would like you to be descriptive in your posts (sprinkle in the details as you go). I don't mind some world building and as we write we can discuss where we take the story. No forced romance, if it happens between our characters, I want the chemistry to be natural. :)

There's still blood on the wind, Mastemyr thought under the awning of the job board, craning his neck until it popped and he groaned in relief. A great yawn followed and he stabbed the bottom of his shield into the softened dirt, settling against the wall as he busied his fingers with the task of stringing his longbow. Made of purple heart and yew, it was a powerful weapon, appreciated most in an effort to bring food upon the table, and the Mortalborn looked to the skies and considered his posting.

Behind him, now masked behind the width of his shoulders, it read clearly thanks to the help of an old friend:

In search of hunting partner. Male or female. Hides and meat to be split evenly unless dueled for. Prey to be decided together, must meet at dawn, 13 Fall 718.
- Kai

But would anyone meet him? Mastemyr had been a long term resident in the city, but he knew the rumors surrounding his mental and physical oddities. Some thought him a mage - as if he would ever become one of them - he'd rather be a monster - the thought made him wrinkle his nose in distaste, deft hands finishing his task to sling the bow over his shoulder and count the arrows in his quiver. Around him the city still slept, but a few residents were beginning to creep from the safety of their adobe homes, carrying pitchers to fetch morning water or hang clothes out to dry. He met their eyes and lifted a hand in acknowledgment, receiving a few waves in return. Somewhere, maybe still wrapped in a blanket, the shrill cry of an infant reverberated, followed by the sound of eastern windows opening. Could the rising sun chase away the dangers of the day?

Mastemyr began to pick specks of dirt from his nails, muttering the familiar prayer in Ancient - the tongue of his father. The tongue of the Gods. "Good morning, Day Bringer." He was getting restless and inhaled deeply, crouching beside his shield. Upon its face, and perhaps his favorite possession, was the metal carving of a roaring lion, a gift from his first wife many years ago. She had perished, leaving behind the workings of her craft to be scattered across the world. As an Immortal, he wished to collect them, but that fantasy had ceased to exist. He still had his shield and that was enough. It looked outward at any stirring figures, made more real by the sly man perched beside it; a true relic unto itself.

Someone approached and he watched, golden cat eyes glowing in the dim light.

@chrysothemis:

Hello, I'm meba~ Nice to meet you. I was looking over your request search and I'm interested if you're still looking for partners. I just joined Voltra, but I've been writing for awhile. I'm pretty open-minded and willing to try a few new things.

On the Frankenstein craving, do you have a plot in mind? If not, I'm sure we could come up with some modern/dark magic themes, maybe a voodoo doll come to life after a certain circumstance? A stitched up pretty boy sounds nice, but I'm really not picky and romance is not a requirement for me. In fact, I haven't written it in awhile, so I might even be a little rusty.

Vampires are also a guilty pleasure of mine, same with monster hunters, maybe going on an adventure. If you have some ideas in mind, I'm more than happy to hear them! Just let me know, and we can discuss.
Hello, hangout!

Was referred here from my intro post. Just wanted to pop in. I've played D&D 3.5 a couple years ago and am in a 5e campaign right now. I'm enjoying it a lot and things do seem to have been streamlined quite a bit compared to older editions. Since I'm a bit late to the hangout, are you guys in any tabletop campaigns at the moment?

@kairu: Thank you! Judging from your avi, I wouldn't have guessed you were new. I appreciate the welcome. :)
@vengeance: oh thanks. I just picked a few shop items with a color scheme I liked. Your silver/grey theme is very neat.
@Rallaa: Ah, that's awesome! I will definitely check it out! I looked through some of your avi closet and you have some really cool outfits!
@saeyra: I actually just started watching Brooklyn 99 late last year. I love Captain Holt and Rosa so much~
@priestess of pie: Love your signature. I have two cats IRL named Lil' Diablo and Blue(berry). And to answer your question, I'm working on learning Japanese and Spanish, but I struggle with consistency as well.

Good afternoon, Voltra & co.

Feel free to call me meba. It's been awhile since I've been on an avatar forum site but I used to frequent them quite a bit when I was in high school. I'm currently twenty-four and spend most of my free time on role play forums, filling my sketchbook, or playing dungeons and dragons. In fact, my group just started a new campaign last week, and I'm playing a half-orc fighter with an aspiration to start a monster hunter's guild.

I am a pretty creative person who loves to meet new people. I like learning language and obtaining new skills. Right now, I'm very curious about quilting and traditional bookbinding. I've dabbled/researched topics in cooking/baking, beekeeping, and tarot cards. I just have a wide variety of interests. My favorite t.v shows usually involve awkward humor (i.e The Office, Wilfred, Parks & Rec), but I like a good drama as well.

Video game wise, I love RPGs (Skyrim, Breath of the Wild, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, etc) and I've been lucky enough to have visited both Spain and Japan. If you have any questions or just want to talk, feel free to say hi!
