when does fandoms nOT take up your time?!?!?!
I've beeennnnn kinda shit? Like my arm,hand,neck injury got worse about 3 weeks ago so I've been recovering from that and have only been able to draw again in the last few days haha

I'VE BEEN READING BARE BOOKS
Your colours are so vibrant they're gorgeous
* 7 *<3
@pachi:
ayyyyy long time no seeeee
and thank you so muchhh
o///v//o<3333
Only 1 piece recently and that's secret santa art!!

@xvz:
Again with my slow replies, so sorry!!!
My necks been playing up which screws with my arm pain.

Happy new yearr!!!

I haveeee! I think my most recent one was lord of the rings.
I've not done many but I have a bunch saved to do more screen shot studies as I love colours and compositions from a lot of movies. I'm forever watching a new movie going ''that'd make a good study'' xD
Have you done many?!

Oooo two moon mystery sounds so interesting! I'll definitely check that one out and braiding sweetgrass by robin wall kimmerer sounds right up my ally!!! I usually stick to fantasy but recently have been branching out and love ittt~

I live in London (south) and a lot of my country has gone into lockdown now. Super annoying but at least I live with family so could celebrate with them :)
Hope you had a wonderful christmas too!

Yess!! I like to look at drawings I've finished and pick out bits I can see aren't working/need working on but I usually won't fix or work on it again once I've considered it done otherwise I'll forever be going back to old drawings instead of making new ones and learning from my mistakes. :)

So sorry for the late reply!!! I've been having issues with my neck injury recently so took a few days break ;w;

Haha I did the exact same thing with animal crossing! I played it religiously for a month + and then didn't touch it since. It's such a time investment and I'm so bad at building things from scratch (the island) so it kinda stresses me out. The mini tasks are fun tho!
That's so cute you guys play together!!! Maybe one day I'll convince my partner to go full nerd with me >:333
For now I play online with friends as I have no nerds IRL to bully into letting me join! I still love and I have a big campaign coming up this new year~

That's truee!!! YA is super easy to digest and if I don't like it I can always just stop reading and give it back to my sister, haha
I did get Wilder Girls for christmas which apparently is YA and I'm super excited to read! It's apparently horror and I've never read that genre before, except the shining. :)

Oh my god yeah! G.R.R Martin's books take forever to finish and there's 5 of them!!!! That's awesome you read them all. Did you enjoy the books??
I loved them, especially the added details that the show ruined/didn't show.

Ooooo I've watched a few episodes of American horror but not many so it's not really a spoiler for me xD

Happy new year! i hope you've been doing well <3
@xvz:
Thank you so much!!! I really worked hard on the colours/shadows/light so I'm flattered you like
;w;

Yeah maybe it's a standard art project! I remember it being one of my first intro projects for University.

Oooo I didn't know murakami had magic. I assumed it was like historical fiction.
The book explores exactly what you're asking, haha! It looks very specifically at different types of impact humans have/had on the world from our housing to subways to bringing different plant life and animals and their impact on the ecosystem. I found it fascinating but it is very info heavy so may not be for everyone if that's not what you're after.

Speaking of Covid getting worse;;;;
My area just locked down AGAIN after announcing Christmas plans they've already changed them...twice in a week and now supposedly you can't see ANY other households on Christmas day. Ffhdskfhdkshjf

I find the opposite, haha!
I love the process of taking a drawing from flat to fully rendered! The ending bit always gives me anxiety as I always find issues with my art after I'm done and have to move on but look back feeling a bit letdown by my own skills xD
I hope to work on that;;;;

Oooo I've heard of Leigh Bardugo but as someone who doesn't read YA I haven't got around / haven't been to interested in reading her works ;;;
THOUGH I did actually buy my sister the Six of Crows book for christmas so maybe I'll borrow it and see if I like it, though I'm almost certain my dummy brain is too old and wrinkly for YA story lines xD
Oooo Ninth House by Leigh sounds super intriguing! I've been wanting to get more into crime/mystery books. I'm glad to hear you liked it, mostly ;)

I've been going through my books before christmas (I asked for new ones for christmas so want to get my currently owned TBR books read). I recently read The Rage of Dragons by Evan Winter, I liked it but not sure how excited I am for the second book. I wanted more world building and magic system as he set it up to be so interesting but we just followed the main dude who isn't magic or traveling much.
I also read The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch which I enjoyed a lot more! If on a Winters Night a Traveler by Italio Calvino which I didn't like and I'm currently reading The Forever War by Joe Haldeman and The Fifth Season by NK Jemisin. So scifi classics and some modern fantasy xD
I'm enjoying both so far!

welcome!!!... back??

Lovely to meet a fellow nerd, especially an drawing nerd uwu!
I'm hoping to find more time to play animal crossing this winter after I finish my current art commissions!!! That's so cool to hear you and your partner play D&D together, that's so cute!

That's so good to hear!

Congratulations on adulting!!!!
I totally understand the final release of pressure when you get your first job out of university.
That's the exact same time I also improved my phone call anxiety and it's a great feeling to feel even just that little bit more independant!

Sounds like you have a great plan to work towards!
Wishing you all the best~
