xvz, You're welcome ^^ Hmmm.... I would say it kinda is but the texture and taste is different than jerky. :o I think it is called bakkwa or rougan in Malaysia, depending on the person. Yusheng is well... it's kinda basically like salad mixed with raw fish and we gather our relatives to mix the ingredients together before eating. Ah, no it's not necessarily to wear red for new years all the time, you can wear any other colour except black and white (which is ironic since I do wear these colours... but I didn't had any interest in superstitions.)
I did a couple of times with my family (except dad) to take the subway to Toa Payoh or anywhere they wanted to go in Singapore. I think it's pretty amazing at first but after taking more than twice, I feel... well, the same lol

True, true. *nods* I think older games (especially virtual/MMO ones) has caught some of their interest due to what xvz said above.

Maybe it's because how casual and laid-back it is?

Kairu, hmmm.... maybe? Someday?
xvz, Bakkwa (a.k.a rougan) and yusheng are the only celebration foods that I only know but the former is actually my favourite while the latter isn't lol.
Mmhmm. *nods* Most people in Singapore tend to use the subway train stations for transportation due to how each district has its own station, although that's not the case as I've seen locals driving cars or calling a cab (sometimes). And yeah, the cost of living is probably higher but as you said, it's not necessarily true; depending on which city.
