I have a huuuuge folder full of things I made with picrew....
I'm gonna be shameless and share one I made with my first (and by now kinda outdated) picrew!

It's pretty basic and kinda messy since I was testing everything out

@ChiffonOrange: aw thank you! it's a good game but i know it's not for everyone!
Character: Omelette
Island: Tenuto
Starting Fruit: Cherries
Starting Animals: Sheldon and Shari
House: my house is currently next to a river and the beach....I didn't realize I totally locked myself to a small section of the map...I plan on relocating (whenever that opens up) to the other side of the river. Probably in the same kind of spot I just want to be on the OTHER side

I'm not too far but I can give some advice

Tips from me to you (mostly assuming you haven't played or have only played a little)

  • Realize you will be locked out of part of your map until you get the pole vault recipe from Blathers (he also gives you the shovel recipe) so pick your maps carefully
  • After you give Nook about 5? or so bugs and/or fish, Blathers will call and you can set up his tent (he should be there when the next day rolls over)
  • After 15 donations he WILL close up for 2 days to construct the museum so get ready to store anything you need to show him either outside or in your storage once you get your house
  • eating fruit will allow you to pick up entire trees, I assume cut them down as well, and break rocks....so DO be careful if you want resources....don't be like me and break rocks you might need in the future (please i need iron ;A; )
  • I'd say one of the first things you should get with Miles is more pocket space (i forget if this opens up after exchanging a certain amount or for certain items)
  • Check the beach for bottles, they'll give you DIY recipes (the first seems to be a mirror or vanity that lets you change your looks)
  • Balloons have more than just furniture! I've found iron nuggets and clothing as well!

I've been a shut in for years, so nothing different for me personally (outside of slight worry over a convention...currently NOT cancelled but anything can change, that'd be in june)
I feel once you've been at it for awhile you just kinda get used to it....

Mom recently had to shift to working at home (but it seems not everyone in her work has to...do to being needed apparently)
outside of shopping being a pain that's about it for now?

Happy New Horizons Day everyone!

  • I've played all but the original 64 and amiibo fest games, I think my favorites would be New Leaf and Happy Home Designer (shocking!)
  • Well considering I'm making this after I just played the game, yes! And everything....everything excites me like a little dog.
  • I have a lot of faves! Some being Moe, Marshal, Kiki, Kitty, a lot of the special crossover villagers.....
  • There's a lot of good furniture sets, but the one I've loved since Pop Growing would be the Lovely series!
  • Spring just like rl....but fall always looks better in games doesn't it...
  • I'm not picky about fruit, since I'll try to get them all over time anyway. I guess apples, but in my island i have cherries!

Had a good amount of characters, but here's my main last touched over 8 months ago:

Got into beta...really loved it and played with my friends
really liked just being able to make designs (which stopped being free after beta which was really my MAIN thing i was interested in)

Then....the NA servers got split in half for "performance" or whatever, but that cut my entire group up and the rest of the actual game was just me and my gf
we pushed on and continued to play often together but we'd get lazy or have other games to play until eventually we just kinda stopped...or checked in rarely when something new happened (like a new class)

Still I always feel like "oh well I can always play some other time when I feel like it again" and then next thing you know, game's gone (just how it goes with a lot of mmos)

I didn't play it as much as I had early on but it's still a little surprising to see it go so quickly (not as quickly as Ncwest's MxM tho hah...)
I read into what more active players thought about it, problems with the game I wouldn't always notice since I usually am pretty relaxed in games

While it's probably just coincidence...I find it interesting it was announced around the time PSO2's open beta started....it seems like they've been waiting to announce this for awhile tho?

edit: just saw that the japanese sever is also closing, looks like it's just the KR server left (unless there's another I haven't seen)
