@LilMissKushy:
P. Laevis (which Dairy Cows are) are super prolific in my experience, or at least I'm doing something right because mine certainly are! I love seeing the babies.

Yeah, I've seen other people sad about not being able to have giant snails too. They're neat, though I'm not sure I personally would choose them, lol.

Yeah, at least I think she was a mystery snail, she was a big yellow freshwater snail. I don't remember exactly what happened to her, but I think maybe my betta ultimately killed her. That's weird that those are banned in the UK even though the land snails aren't, but vice versa here. Laws are a funny thing.

Well thank you again! I'm excited. :3

@Totalanimefan:
Oh I'm terrible when it comes to carbs, and I love to bake. It's so hard to have willpower against it!

I wish I could balance on a bike. I've tried to ride a few times as an adult, most recently in Key West with my mom, but it was sooo hard to balance on it (I have pretty crappy balance even on my own two feet) that I was exhausted very quickly. I guess I need to practice, but bikes are so expensive. I guess I can "bike" on the stationary ones at the Y, though, lol.

Honestly I was pretty happy with size 10, yeah. If I could get back to that I'd be happy. :) And thank you! It only took six months' real effort to lose it the last time, so I know I can do it if I really try.

Also, since you asked specifically, I received Surprise Party!, Unique Long Sleeve Crop Top, Unique Curvy Legs, Unique Giant Pencil, and Opal. I updated my list, too. :)

@Juliette:
Not to be an armchair psychologist but it kinda sounds like you're depressed. Have you brought up your lack of interest/motivation with your therapist (I think you said in another thread you were seeing one)?

And there's nothing wrong with watching stuff and cooking! I watch tons of stuff too, mostly YouTube, lol. I have it on like 98% of the time. I'm trying to get into cooking, too, to combat my roommate's less healthy recipes lol. What do you like to cook, anything in particular? o3o

@Wildfire
I do miss my Converse; I love the look of them but a day out in them left me in so much pain. Pro tip: Don't go to a Renaissance Fair in Converse. It hurts. XD

And really? I have ... I think currently three pairs of Sketchers sneakers, and they're all pretty comfy. The fanciest-looking pair can hurt after a while but they might just need more breaking in. I have Sketchers clogs too, that are super comfy (though they're getting worn out and I need to replace 'em). It probably depends on individual needs, I would guess.

Right? It's really cute, even has a built-in plastic 'microscope' for watching your critters, lol. And I dunno, I bought a basic kit on a whim years ago, I think I was still in college or maybe it was shortly after I dropped out, anyway well more than ten years now. And I just was fascinated with the little guys, and with the different tanks and funky accessories--I even had a Sea Monkey Watch at one point, where you could actually put a sea monkey or two in it for a few hours. And I wore it.

It went from there. They're a lot harder to find nowadays and generally the tanks aren't as inspired as they were when I first got into the hobby, but other companies are making their own kits here and there. I document whenever I find a new kit (I even archived the Seatures website a couple days ago) and I'm thinking about making a website as a companion to my YouTube channel, with info on the various knockoffs/competitors I've found, and whatever else might be useful/interesting. :3

I even want to make my own 'tanks': I have plans, if I can ever track down a reasonably priced one, to turn one of those Waterfuls toys (you know, the handheld water toy from the 70s & 80s, where you pressed buttons to fling balls or rings around into/onto goals?) into a Sea Monkeys tank. I think it'd be rad. :D

@Alchemists Fire: Tell me about it. I have a lot of shows I haven't finished and a bunch that I want to rewatch. Currently I'm kinda itching to rewatch Invader Zim, and Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series. The latter of which is finally on Disney+ (it was ignored for years and never even got a home release despite only being one season) so I can hopefully watch it in decent quality finally! (all I've had in the past were VHS recordings that were converted to DVD for a fan-release lol.)

So what's shakin' in this thread today? o3o

@ChiffonOrange: I did finally sleep around 2 or 3am, lol. And then I slept till at least noon, and had another nap after that. XD

I'm feeling much better!

@Another Movie Addict: Right? I might actually be able to work a retail job if I were allowed to sit the hell down!!

I had to stop wearing my Converse--and I had like five or six pairs in different colors--because they didn't have the support in them that my feet need and it was getting too painful. :( Fortunately Sketchers makes some really cute sneakers to make up for it.

There goes the ice cream truck, playing... a music box rendition of The Love Theme from Romeo & Juliet???

@Totalanimefan:
I'm going to dinner tonight as well, lol, and will likely be out a bit later than usual for me, since we're not even getting there till around 7:30. But I'll update the list as soon as the trade's finished. :3

Thanks! I want to commission her again for a new piece of a different outfit but I also want to pay her a fair price and that adds up to a bit more than I can comfortably do at the moment, so I'm waiting and trying to save. (the whole mattress thing has not helped matters. :P ) I have another person I want to commission too but they've been MIA for a bit so I'm waiting to hear from them again before I bug 'em about it.

It is hard, and part of my problem is I have an unhealthy relationship with food; I think I might genuinely have like a food addiction? It's something I want to work with a therapist on, and I'm trying to get in with a new therapist currently since I haven't seen one since the last time I moved and that's been... a few years now. >_>;;; Also I gotta find my "Silver Sneakers" card because I misplaced it (I'm not that old but I have it because I have Medicaid) because I can go to the Y for free with it, and that's only about a half mile away from me. Maybe I can start a habit of swimming regularly or something. I like swimming and I could definitely do to strengthen my skill.

I was doing really good before I moved to my current location; I lived with my dad for around six months and was walking a ton because he lives in this cute little touristy town, and I lost a ton of weight then (also his cooking was a lot healthier than what my roommate tends to push on me). Unfortunately this neighborhood isn't as nice to walk around in and my bad habits have made a rebound, as have my waistline. I'm determined to get back down at least to where I was; I loved being a size ten, and I was so proud (I've always been on the bigger side so 10 was downright slim to me!).

So I'll get there; I've done it before so I know I can! :)

@Wildfire:
I'm in the Tampa Bay area too, I was just being vague 'cause some sites get upset if you name cities and I didn't wanna get in trouble XD

It's supposed to rain (50% chance) for the next couple hours but supposedly will be done by the time we go to her house, and she's got a screened in but not technically covered pool so we'll see. I'm hopeful; I haven't been in a pool in years!

And yes, from some company calling themselves "Seatures." I ordered right away because a lot of these so-called 'companies' come and go very quickly. The tank they sourced (they clearly didn't manufacture it but found a third party company, but whatever) is super cool, some kinda kid's STEM toy. It's really big for a sea monkeys tank, even official ones are way smaller.

I don't stream it but I'll be filming the setup and then doing progress updates for my YouTube channel. I've only done one knockoff kit (which was technically a Chinese repackaging of an official Korean Sea Monkeys kit, it was super weird) so far on my channel but I've got three knockoffs waiting, counting this one, plus an official kit I've wanted for years ("Sea Monkeys on Mars") that I'm excited to do too. I technically have one more (Aqua Dragons, a fairly successful UK-based competitor) but I only have a refill kit of theirs and not one with a tank so I'm waiting on that one.

If you can't tell, Sea Monkeys and similar are kind of a special interest of mine, lol.

@Wildfire: Not a lot; mostly I finally slept after about a night and a half of not being able, so I slept in late, and then had a nap, lol. Going to my roommate's stepmom's for dinner though, it looks like, and maybe swimming in her (screened in) pool if the weather holds out, too! So that'll be fun. :)

Oh and the eggs/food finally came for the knockoff sea monkeys kit I got recently, so I'll be able to start and film that soon! I'm looking forward to it. :D

I think you're right about our locations! Neat. :D It it's been kinda amusing realizing how many people are from Florida here. I don't feel so alone, lol.

@Another Movie Addict: Your sig gif is so cute; is that from the con music video you mentioned?

@Wildfire: I didn't even think about looking at the dollar store for those things! And yeah, they definitely come in handy.

@LilMissKushy:
Oh my gosh, thank you! You didn't want anything for these? o3o;

And oh man, I want Dairy Cows so bad, they're adorable. I have the same species--porcellio laevis--but I have normal ones, not any special morph. And yay jumping spiders! I know my isopods have actually helped me a fair bit with my fear of creepy-crawlies, to be honest. That and reminding myself that, at least here in the US, most spiders are harmless. XD Ooh, you have giant African land snails? Those dudes are like, super illegal here afaik. They're cool, though! I've only ever had an (aquatic) mystery snail.

fhjdsahfdjkls you added more to the trade while I wasn't looking omg

@Totalanimefan: I'll mark off what I got in a minute, and thank you! You guys are so kind. Let me know what/if you want for anything. :vanora_sweat:

And no, I didn't do the art, though omg isn't it awesome? I commissioned it from an artist friend of mine, Fioxis! They do the cutest stuff, and they were chill with all my details (all that rainbow lmao!). The resized version is a little sloppy looking but the full thing is on my profile if you want to see it. :3 It's my internet mascot, which is basically fictionalized me, albeit at a bit more ideal weight (I'm working towards it lmao), in one of my favorite outfits. :D
