I definitely see a difference in my pockets from cooking more lol.
Plus whenever we do takeout now, I'm usually like nah ill just cook or this doesn't seem as appetizing as it usually does lol.
The covid complications have been about a month or so. We initially got over covid fine and it was moderate for us especially since they have asthma and some mild heart issues. But one day they were just playing video games and their face started to droop, had trouble walking, and was stuttering super bad. Per the neurologist, it wasn't a stroke so who really knows what it is. They're still looking into what happened and there's some more testing to do as well.

I really need to use the instapot more. Idk I'm scared of it because I've heard of so many horror stories about it XD. But each time I use it I get a little more comfortable with it. I don't think I could have two of them I don't cook that much lol.

Oh and the jambalaya was really good!

Honestly no I don't XD. I actually lowkey dislike cooking.
I've had to cook a bunch since my fiancee got temporarily disabled due to covid complications, which honestly it hasn't been that bad I will say.
It's not that I dislike cooking, but it's a lot of work. I hate doing the dishes afterwards lol.
But we're gonna make it in the instapot this time so we'll see how it goes.

I wear makeup from time to time but I try and take it off once I'm done. I know that not taking your makeup off can lead to getting acne and all that.
Although the last time I wore makeup I left it on overnight by accident XD.
I don't think my cleanser has salicylic acid in it but idk why its been drying my skin out.
The mask I did last night really helped but I still feel tiny bumps but that could be the texture of my skin lol.

I'm black so half the time I'm like nah I don't need sunscreen I have all the protection I need but I do need it XD

I use this cleanser by cremeshop. I do like their products a bunch but the previous cleanser that I was using they took it off the site for some reason. I tried their jelly mylk cleanser and I think because it was in gel form it dried my skin out a bunch. I've noticed that foam/cream cleansers work the best for me personally. I'll have to check if it has salicylic acid in it because that could have been the reason why my skin was dry.

I also will use a face oil and then a hydrating mist (also got these at cremeshop but I also bought some facial mists by E.L.F). I'll sometimes use a moisturizer but I really haven't found a good one that I like. From time to time, I will use an overnight gel mask from cremeshop and do a face mask.

Oh that sucks.
We need new windows for the house. We have the original windows which is like 100+ years old lol.
Replacing windows is expensive but we need to get some done by winter though.

It's been forever since I did any type of skincare like face masks, eye masks, scrubs, etc. It's just so refreshing and it's really a good way to do self care.
Right now I'm doing a face mask. It's a fusion sheet mask (caffe and mocha). I really missed doing them. I think I'm also going to do a lip mask tonight as well.
Usually, I've just been using my cleanser everyday and that's it but my face has been so dry and flaky lately that I think I need to incorporate it and start a routine again.

What's your skincare routine and/or any tips to share for dry skin or just in general for skincare?

I'm currently engaged and we're domestic partners now but divorce is something that I do not want to go through because it sounds so complicated and stressful.

Omg this heat has been unbearable.
I've basically been downstairs the past few days because the air doesn't go up to the 2nd floor of the house.
It's been really annoying lol.

It is soooo hot.
I have air conditioning but it's only reaching the upstairs and it's making me mad lol.
