I know they CAN. But it's more that rats are the ones that you need to be more careful with.

Besides, precautions can be taken. Had I been bit, for instance, I would have been going to get a rabies shot to make sure that wasn't a risk, etc.

My little chibi [dwarf hamster] is overly adorable too, but she's likely to die in the next year or so.
And I'm thinking... I might get mice after that. Maybe gerbils though, they're really cute too.
But .. but mousies.

Hmmm...
It just occurred to me that if I can figure out a good enough base idea and get some of the initial stuff together for it... I could start up a kickstarter for the site I wanna make.
Wow I'm slow and totally should've thought of that before. XD
