I had to leave the kitchen because no matter how I asked her to eat her dinner, she ignored me and kept folding her used tissues. Note, she's throwing them away but they have to be pretty before she does.
Oh now she unfolded one, blew her nose and is currently folding it again into a square 2" wide

@Peachy: I've worked in a few retirement facilities. Sometimes you have to seriously encourage older folks to do what is good for them.
@eliechan: I feel for you, dear. Its hard to cope when folks would rather do something seemingly ridiculous when you're trying to take care of them. I'm glad you were patient enough to leave the room and let her do it. Obsessive compulsions like that are hard not to do, especially for older folks.

@glume: No I understand that, I just wanted more insight before really forming an opinion.
Both my grandparents went through dementia so, I understand.

@Peachy: Nope, not negative at all <3 Dementia is such a coin toss in regards to how they feel, I wish we understood more about it.

@Peachy: Aaaaah yeah she's very picky about her food, so if we don't encourage her to eat she may decide to just quit halfway. Once she says the words "I'm done" then no amount of talking can change her mind after that point.

Yes I did! I’m actually on the airplane right now. Martin and I get an hour of free Wifi each. Im using his. Lol
@Totalanimefan: lol yay free WiFi for good purposes! I always forget you mainlanders get WiFi on planes. Since it doesn't work over water, flying to and from Hawaii means no WiFi generally.

And at least on Hawaiian air there is a meal included. Lol
@Totalanimefan: lol this is true but the last time I flew to San Jose on Hawaiian Air the "meal" was a mini french bread with pastrami (however it was a thin single slice of pastrami that was folded in half and covered 1/3rd of the bread lol). When I go to Japan in September it will be on Hawaiian Air too. I wanted Korean Air because that lunch was amaaazing. That bibimbap lunch was so good!

@Totalanimefan: oh right! I forgot you mentioned that! LOL I was waiving to my cousin most likely hahaha. Oh and it's about 8-1/2 hrs from Hawaii to Japan. But I think the return flight is less. Unless I got that mixed up.
@eliechan: that’s long but not too bad. I did San Fran to Vancouver to Tokyo. Vancouver to Tokyo is 10-11 hours

@Totalanimefan: ooooh that's long, the longest flight I've been on was 9-1/2hrs to Dulles but I think Japan feels way shorter cuz it's Japan lol.
