It's my stepdad's 63rd birthday, and every year I get him a card. I don't get this tough biker man just any card though... no, he has to have the most sparkly, glittery, and girly card I can find. I always get him a card that matches the last digit of his age and then I add on the first digit, so this year he got a card made for a 3 year old. It's a Princess Sofia card, and it comes with a glittery tiara for my stepdad to wear!

What are some odd/funny birthday traditions you have? Do you buy crazy cards for people? Do most people even buy cards anymore?! XD

@Hazer: Hahah yeah! He's really just a big ole teddy bear. He had me dye his hair pink once for a breast cancer fundraiser. He got a lot of weird looks at work, but he didn't mind.

@Lufi: not a birthday tradition, but with liberation day here, there are always festivals.

One of the festivals always has a piece of land for a biker group. They have a stand, have a barbecue and drink beer. They also keep an eye on basically everyone around.

I've been a volunteer for that festival a number of times and I always go check out their bikes. They have given me stickers before and offered to drive me home a bunch of times.

I usually forget to get cards when getting presents. But my husband has one floating about that I drew for him for Valentine’s Day. It was a quick sketch of “omg I forgot about Valentine’s Day so here’s a cute drawing of my OC with a heart?”

This is why I have hope for humanity. People like that~<3 It's a little thing, but damn does it say a lot (And a lot of good!)

Also, omfg. That is brilliant with the cards. I'm definitely going to have to do that with someone, too. I'm... not sure who I can in my life, but SOMEone.
